Excell Marketing, L.C. Reviews (2)

I had seen reviews of this company's products that are distributed at Big Box Stores [redacted] etc.). Most of the things I saw express caution for tampered packages (the seals aren't great, and shoplifters etc.), but that the products themselves were generally of great value and quality.
While the product in question (a four deck Magic: the Gathering bundle box barcode XXXXX-XXXXX with receipt description as "XXXXXXXXX trdng cards" ) doesn't list a description, it is widely accepted that it contains four pre-constructed ("Intro", "Theme", "Commander") type decks that are surplus from when product lines rotate out of primary use.

Imagine my display to open my product when I got home, to find that one of the four decks I received had a normal card on front, and the entire rest of the deck was basic land cards. The sad thing is, the original manufacturer doesn't even package their land packs in this manner (they don't throw in a stray card to obfuscate what the sealed pack is, a package of land is a package of land, such as those found in Manufacturer original bundles). That means this sealed deck would have to have been intentionally opened, modified to include a card to increase the expected face value of the product, and resealed to appear as if from the original manufacturer.

I think it's dishonest business to intentionally put something of such low value into a collection based product. While there is no product description present on the merchandise to describe what is to be expected, there is still a general expectation of originally packaged (or at least not intentionally disguised) packaging, since the minor visual clues on the product itself the only description of the product available. Of course, because the item in question is of a collectible nature, it's non-returnable or exchangeable with the merchant that it was purchased from (something only provided when I looked into exchanging the product).

Overall, the entire experience with your merchandise has created an extremely negative experience, and while I had initially considered making regular investments into your merchandise, I've since reconsidered because I don't want to get ripped off again.

I would have to recommend AGAINST ever purchasing this company's products from the big box stores, since in the one experience I've had with them I essentially got swindled by a misleading product intentionally designed to appear more valuable than it was.

I have purchased many, many Magic cards from you in the past from various Target stores with no issue, but today I bought 2 of the 3 pack with a Promo card packages and opened both to find that in each package the packs of Khans of Tarkir had been sliced opened and taped, and the rare was missing out of 1 pack, and a uncommon AND a rare missing out of the other. The outer packaging was intact and you could not tell that the pack was sliced open. I am very unsatisfied that I spent $23.00 and was sold open packs. Please look into whoever is packing these products because they are stealing from you and costing you a very loyal customer. I will not post a complaint with the Revdex.com, but I also will not purchase your products in the future.
