RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: As stated in my previous response, your website and the product's box state that new [redacted] products are covered under a 2 year warranty. Being as my straightener is a new item (not refurbished), it should be covered for two years, regardless of if it is a replacement or not. Where does it state that replacement items are not covered under your two year warranty? I am still hopeful that you will stand by your commitment to provide good customer service and durable, quality products (which last more than just a few months), by providing me a replacement straightener at no cost to me.Thank you, [redacted] In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above. We have no way of knowing conclusively that the [redacted]...

[redacted] claims was even caused by our appliance. She purchased the 6000i dryer. She agreed to exchange it for a different model, however, before that shipped out she changed her mind and wanted her original dryer back. So we taped up her package and refused it. She felt this was taking too long to get back to her. We sent another 6000i to her via 2-day shipment and told her she could keep both dryers. If [redacted] wants a refund, we will refund her, however, she would need to return both dryers.

Thank you for your response.  In light of the fact that both of my [redacted] straighteners broke after just a months, I am not willing to invest additional money in this product (your offer of $39.95 for the replacement, plus shipping costs for me).  I disagree with your statement that offering a 2 year warranty on replacement products would make products have lifetime warranties.  If you create products durable enough to last beyond the 2-year mark, then the warranties will end after 24 months, as you have intended them to.  Your 2 year warranty is on NEW products; while my second [redacted] straightener may have been a replacement, it was, nonetheless, a brand new product; therefore, I cannot understand why it would not be covered under warranty. As I mentioned in my previous letter, I thought that my [redacted] straighteners were great products while they were working. The [redacted] line does indeed provide a two (2) year warranty. However, this warranty does not begin again with a warranty replacement as that would make it a lifetime warranty. When the customer...

called our office on April [redacted] we did offer her one last replacement. We told her it would cost $39.95 and advised her that it would not have any further warranty. We are still more than happy to make this same offer to the customer.

Review: I purchased my [redacted] 1.5in Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Pro Flat Iron on 9/*/12 on [redacted] (order # [redacted]). In August '14, the straightener would no longer turn on, so I had it replaced on 8/**/14 under the 2 year warranty. After just 6.5 months (at the beginning of March), this new straightener broke (it turns on, but won't heat up). Since March, I have been using my Hot Tools straightener which is about 10 years old (a much more appropriate lifespan for a straightener than just 6ish months!) I called [redacted] on 4/**/15 to inquire about having it replaced under the two year warranty. The supervisor with whom I spoke refused to honor the 2 year warranty, stating that this warranty does not apply for replacement items. I disagree with this, as the last bullet point on the back of this straightener's box states that there is a Two (2) Year Warranty. The warranty should apply for all new items; I certainly hope that [redacted] has enough faith in the durability and quality of their products to back all new straighteners with warranties for at least two years.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that Exceon/[redacted] stands behind it's mission (as stated in the mission statement on the company website) to provide consumers with "high-performance styling products." Please recognize that quality straighteners should last much longer than 23 months and 8 months (especially since mine is used twice a week, on average). This straightener works very well--but only when it actually does work. Please restore my faith in Exceon by honoring your two year warranty and replacing my straightener at no cost to me. Thank you!

Response:

[redacted] purchased her item 9/*/12 and it came with a 2 year warranty which expired 9/*/14. Again, I have the same response to the customer. Our 2 year warranty begins the day the item is originally purchased and ends 2 years later. The warranty replacement we sent to her does not entitle her to another 2 year warranty. As I told the customer when I spoke to her on April [redacted], I am happy to give her one last warranty replacement and the charge for this would be $39.95.

Review: I emailed the company on December **, 2014, the company didn't respond, so I emailed them again on April [redacted] 2015 regarding an injury that I had received from using my Sedu Revolution 6000i blow dryer. The contact person name is [redacted]; I explained that the air speed of the dryer caused injury to my ear and I had to get treatment for it. She informed me that they do not compensate for bodily injury only if the dryer caused damage to home by starting a fire. But she informed me that she could replace my dryer with a Sedu 4000i blow dryer. And all I needed to do is mailed in my dryer. After speaking with [redacted]; I mailed my dryer to Exceon on April **, 2015. After carefully researching the Sedu 4000i dryer and reading reviews on it; I was not pleased with what I had discovered. So, I called [redacted] on April **, 2015, and explained my findings of the replacement dryer and that I would like for her to return my dryer for another Sedu Revolution 6000i dryer. She stated that my dryer has been discontinued and is no longer available, but she can send my dryer back to me.

My package was mailed on April **, 2015; I received a tracking number of my package. I received [redacted] Tracking email update on May **, 2015, that my package was refused by Exceon after warehouse shipped it out to me. I contacted [redacted] on May **, 2015, again about this information that I received from [redacted], she just informed me that since I requested to have my dryer mailed back to me the package was refused. I asked her where is my package and when I will receive it? From the [redacted] Tracking, it states that my package has been mailed back to Exceon. [redacted] said that the warehouse does not have my package; I asked her what will happen if my package is lost. She stated don't worry that is not the case, my package is in transit to me. But hours later [redacted] called me on May **, 2015, offering to mailed me out a sample dryer(Sedu Revolution 6000i) until I received my dryer. I asked her why are you offering me a sample dryer if my package is not lost. She stated for all the inconvenience that they have caused me. Remind you, the Sedu Revolution 6000i has been discontinued and is no longer available. I declined because I paid $167.40 on September **, 2014,from Ulta for my dryer and I have only had it for 7 months; I was not satisfied with accepting a used dryer. "Is this the company's good will gesture for their customers". I feel that the customer service and the company's warehouse used unethical procedures to properly mail my package to me and is responsible for the misplacement of it.

I asked to speak with her [redacted], [redacted] and I have not heard from her. So, I'm contacting your business for assistance in this matter.Desired Settlement: I feel the business responsibility is to refund me for my dryer since my package was in their care and was not properly returned to me.
