I decided to change to Jackson-Hewitt this year for my taxes BIG MISTAKE ! I was lied to from start to finish I called for info on scheduling my session and pricing I was told $ During the session I noticed a flyer on the desk that you can take a photo of and post on Facebook to get $off I did so....once we got to the end of the session I was then told that I can't apply that to my total because the $session didn't qualify (did not say that on the flyer) There is also a commercial on TV saying they will give you $for switching to JH from another tax service if you are a first time customer.....another lie After all was said and done and I got home and was looking through the paperwork I found that they will be taking $out of my return before I receive it, not $49....I was never told this during the session My advise to everyone...DON'T TRUST JACKSON-HEWITT ! I learned my lesson, they will NEVER see another dime of my money
Terrible! Tax preparer had no idea how to do taxesNothing difficult just had no idea of how to do them! Charged outlandish fees for them taking almost a month to do simple taxesIrresponsibleNot open hours as advertised during tax timeVery, very poor service and unknowledgable staffWill never use again
I used Jackson Hewitt for my tax return I went again this year to file my return I was there for about mins I have a very simple return, a with dependents and a little student loan interest, pretty basic Their fee for submitting my return was $475! I declined their services and decided to file myself for free In order to e-file my taxes through T*** ***, I needed my AGI from my previous return I had misplaced my copy of my return from Since Jackson Hewitt did that return for me, I should be able to call them or go by in person to get my AGI or a copy of my previous return They denied me that information They stated that they were under new ownership and were not allowed access to that information until sometime in March They suggested I call the IRS for a transcript When I spoke to the IRS agent she informed me that they are likely not releasing that information because I decided not to file with them I am upset with this because #they were over-charging for their services and #they refuse to give me MY financial information that I had already paid for the previous year They denied me access to my information over the phone and in personI will never use this service again

I went in today to have my taxes prepared as I have done for many years with this branch.The lady helping me was kind and professionalHowever due to a misunderstanding on my part I was not able to complete the transactionThe owner Bobby publicly berated me in front of another customerHe said that I had wasted their time and I was rude and inconsiderateHe even told the lady to tear up all my documents and not give them back to meI will never return because of the way he treated me
Jackson Hewitt gave me a call telling me I qualify for a loan just as I did last yearAll communications lead up to me believing I was getting the loanWhen I came in to get the loan it was never mentioned that the loan was not guaranteedI was required to file my taxes first still not knowing that the loan was not guaranteed .After filing tax paperwork the loan appwas put in I was informed that I didn't get the loan but my taxes were filed and I now owe them dollarsI was taken advantage of and made to believe if I filed my taxes with Jackson Hewitt the loan was guaranteed
I went to Jackson Hewitt days ago and it was the worst experience that I ever had with a tax preparerThis was my 1st time getting my taxes and by myself and I told her that, and she took advantage of thatWhen I entered the building I specifically asked her how much it would probably cost to get taxes done with you guys and she didnt want to answer my question at all, she kept trying to go aroundThen I asked can she go through the process with me to get the price and if I didn't like it I didn't want to do itShe seemed like she wanted to help me but t was all a scam in my eyes
So we started the process and she NEVER even told me all what she was doing.She NEVER tried to ask me what else I may have that can get me back more moneyAnd she gave me the amount I was going to get back but not how much I was getting chargedI asked TWICE
And when it came down to the signing I was under the impression that I was signing that I wanted to get my taxes down with Jackson hewitt not that I AGREED to what I was getting chargedand next thing you know we were done
I DONT like this company and I will NEVER come back againFirst and the Last time! Should have went with H&R Block!
