At first the staff is niceDiagnosed my car and turns out I need my engine rebuiltTook them 1/months to do so only to go pick up the car and was doing the same thing as when I left it thereLeft for another week and got it backThere are parts that have been taped together, wires that are not connected screws that are loose.....etcThis is not a very good shop, but they say you get what you pay forI will next time just pay more and have someone with experience work on my carTurns out was not even the engine it was the fuel filter that got loose, that is why it was not running the right way

Mr*** is a customer of oursHe received the items he ordered and returned them and we have already refunded his payment in accordance to our PoliciesI have attached a copy of the refund receipt for your recordsPlease consider this matter resolved

This complaint is related to Deceptive Trade Practices under the Consumer Protection Act Section 17.41.
I am filing against:
Excessive Performance 900 Leifester Cir Suite Killeen TX **SSN[redacted], http://www.excessiveperformance.com/.
Owner Mr. Frank G[redacted].
1984 Chevy C10 /
I am aware that my 32 year old vehicle will need continuous maintenance to keep it operating within a standard of excellence. What I don’t understand is why Excessive Performance hasn’t been put out of business or hasn’t been warned for its Deceptive Trade Practices under the Consumer Protection Act Section 17.41?
From 06 / 2014 - 06 / 2016 I have been a customer spending exactly $2252.08, not including tow truck fees, rental car fees, and multiple times I've had to return to get previous repairs satisfied.
Invoice Number 1725 06/04/14 $113.46
Invoice Number 1769 06/19/14 $529.07
Invoice Number [redacted] 06/23/14 $620.30
Invoice Number [redacted] 06/28/14 $778.78
Invoice Number [redacted] 06/10/16 $210.00
My last two major repairs were:
Invoice Number [redacted], 06/23/14 $620.30
This repair was to replace my front brake system, brake lines, front shocks, and install a brand new radiator with: correct sized radiator, cap, hose, and thermostat with gasket.
Since that repair, the radiator blew on 25 July 2014, leaving me stranded on the highway returning from Giddings Texas. The radiator was replaced with one that was half of the original sized one and propped up on Styrofoam to give the “illusion” of a full sized radiator. During this down period, I had to rent a vehicle in order to complete my 2014 attendance at the Texas Academy Animal Control Officers Course (Giddings, Texas) from 26 July – 03 August 2014.
Invoice Number [redacted], 06/28/14 $778.78.
This repair was to replace my idler arm, front end suspension, replace my brake system, and shocks.
Since that repair, my entire front suspension was assembled wrong and haphazardly. The work completed left my front end damaged due to the inexperienced mechanics at Excessive Performance. As of today my dashboard has jarred loose, the wiring behind the steering column was left hanging or unsecured and has fallen out in the way of the foot pedals, and has broken or jarred my original fan shroud loose.
Invoice Number 5907, 06/10/16 $210.00
This repair was to fix the previous repairs that left my vehicle parked since the summer of 2014 so I could get it back on the road. My vehicle isn’t registered because I feel it is still unsafe to drive as of today.
They made a last attempt at trying to undo and replace my faulty suspension but failed to repair the leak, dashboard, wiring and fan shroud. I was charged $132.00 in labor for a $70 part they were supposed to replace in 2014.
In my garage I crank it and let run at least 30 mins twice a week to keep the battery charged but right away I noticed the loud noises. On July 17, 2016, when I backed my truck into my driveway is when I discovered that my truck is still leaking oil, transmission fluid. Not only that, my air filter has been replaced/switched with one of an incorrect size, and most importantly it sounds horrible underneath the hood. There’s a loud squealing noise, a rough idle and gasoline smell. I am tired of spending my money trying to repair faulty repairs. I am tired of being taken advantage of by Excessive Performance and I am tired of knowing that Frank G[redacted] is complacent, complicit, and confidentiality taking innocent customers through an experience they never wanted or can’t afford. I am not the only patron that feels this way. The only reason I originally supported Frank G[redacted] is because he is a Veteran like myself.
I have service connected disabilities and many fears that may keep me from finding another mechanic here in Bell County. Is everyone here out for our wallets? Does no one have integrity that owns a small business?
Like I said previously, I am aware that my 32 year old vehicle will need continuous maintenance to keep it operating within a standard of excellence. What I don’t understand is why Excessive Performance hasn’t been put out of business or hasn’t been warned for its Deceptive Trade Practices under the Consumer Protection Act Section 17.41?
