Please allow me to say that I am sorry that *** *** feels this way about the services I renderedIn answer to her complaint I hope my explanation can help her and the Revdex.com understand the issue in its entirety*** *** came to see me on June 28th and brought me rolls of
pink colored fabric so that I could cut and hem into curtainsSince I was busy at the time I told her that curtains would be ready a week later on July 5thTwo days later *** *** showed up with more rolls, of blue colored fabric and roll of yellow colored fabric and asked if I could have the blue/yellow curtains ready by Sunday July 2nd since she needed them with urgencyTo please her I told her that I would have them ready by Saturday July 1st since we are closed on SundayOne of the rolls of blue fabric she had brought in were not sufficiently large enough to make of the curtains according to her dimensionsTo make up for this discrepancy I had to add additional fabric of my own, and work, which I did at no additional chargeWhen she came in on Saturday July 1st to pick up the blue/yellow curtains she brought me an additional rolI of pink fabric (for a total of rolls of pink)I told her that the total for the blue/yellow curtains was $plus $taxShe only handed me $at which time I told her that she still owed $At this time she began to insist that I only charge her $per curtainI explained to *** *** that I could not because the sole amount of work required to cut fabric of 14’ - 6”, demanded a lot of time measuring to ensure the correct sizeIt was during this conversation that I shared with her that my business had other costs associated with it including rent, and that although it was important for me to do what I enjoyed it was even more importantly for me to do a job the clients would be pleased withMonday July 3rd, the last day before she was to pick up the remaining curtains (rolls of pink), I worked until 9:pm so they would be ready for her on the 5thWhen *** *** came in to pick up the remaining curtains she told me that she had only wanted pink curtains and not 6; This despite the fact that she had taken the trouble of bringing in a third roll of pink fabric on SaturdayI gave her the benefit of the doubt and told her it was not a problemThus, I allowed her to take the curtains while only charging her for She handed me $which covered $still due from the previous invoice and for additional curtains (x $= $plus tax $4.95)Which comes to a total of $for the entire project of cutting and hemming curtains 14’ - 6” longAfter years in business I have never had a complaint by any of my clientsIn regards to my billing, and contrary to *** *** opinion, my clients frequently pay more than what I chargeMy clients continuously recommend my work to their friends which has allowed me to build an extensive number of clients over the years, some which have been coming for years as stated by *** *** in her complaintI find purpose and joy in what I do and in giving back to the community through those who visit my shop and for this I am very grateful *** ***

I've been in 9 weddings, so I'm not new to the alteration process but this was probably the worst experience I've had. I made my appointment months in advance for a bridesmaid dress that needed to be hemmed and taken in. The dress was a delicate lace fabric and an open back which also made it difficult to wear undergarments for support, so cups were sewn in. When I came to pick up the dress, the hem was carelessly done with the lace curling over, it was still too big and the cups that were sewn in made the dress sag forward. It looked terrible. I was told not much could be done because the dress was an open back. At this point I had also pre-paid for my alterations which totaled over $100. One of the other seamstresses looked at it and it was decided to take it in by the zipper and take up the shoulders, also the curling lace would be starched. I was told there would be more expense, but what was most disheartening was that if I wouldn't have insisted on how terrible it looked, they would've let me leave with it looking so sloppy. When I returned (a week later) two days before the wedding, the dress had been taken in but not in the means I was originally told, I actually questioned what they did to the zipper and they took it in using another method. I'm bothered to think that they didn't find it necessary to explain what they did as opposed to what I was quoted for the additional work. The overall tone of the experience is that I was an inconvenience. I will admit, I'm not very knowledgeable with sewing and alterations but I don't appreciate being taken advantage of because of it. I just wish they would have been honest and said they couldn't do the alterations from the beginning because I would have had more time to find a different seamstress. I shared the experience and how the alterations were executed with two people that sew as a hobby and they both agreed it was not the best work they've seen, especially for the cost.
What is even more of a disappointment is that the scheduling software they use automatically sends an e-mail to provide a review and feedback of the experience. These reviews are linked to their website so that potential customers have an idea of the business. I submitted an honest review of my experience and it never was posted to the site. They are advertising as a "verified" review of peoples' honest assessment of their work, however if they don't like the review they don't allow it. That's dishonest and misleading to potential customers. Part of the reason I went there is because of these "verified" reviews. I saw no negative experiences, but it's only because they don't allow all reviews.
