[redacted] refused and went further to hid the vehicle. In talking with her, she indicated another dealership coached her how to lie because she had another vehicle being repossessed. We do not condone this nor is it the way we do business. We hired a repo man who tried tracking her but she went to great lengths to hid the vehicle. Ms. [redacted] gave us $1,000 down (receipts attached) and another $1,000 came from our down payment assistance program. The customer repays that assistance money at a later date. We do not tell people to lie to a dealer. The VIN number of the vehicle tells the lender what the vehicle is equipped with, as the lender is the one extending the loan and taking the risk. Subsequently, Ms. [redacted] lent this vehicle to an individual that was involved in a sex crime; and the vehicle was impounded by the San Antonio Police Department for their investigation and fingerprinting. Today (September 9) we were able to recover the vehicle. We have paid a repo man, impound fees, towing fees, and now we must pay to rekey the vehicle, as no keys were returned.
