Complaint: I am rejecting this response because:Referring to paragraph #of the business' response the following needs to be addressedHe stated we spoke about getting a complete detail of the vehicle In that conversation my wife stated to him that prior to him giving her a price quote he know that we wanted the degree of clean that would even take the use of a q-tip to clean the a/c vents if necessary At no time did she state that she had done that but was trying to have him understand what she was wanting quoted The quote he gave was $to do as she requested This was not expressed as a 'starting' quote but his quote to do the jobA prudent man would think that a 'complete' detail would include cleaning the bed of the truck and other deficiencies noted in prior correspondence(cleaning front and back bumper, cleaning nerf bars, waxing and cleaning tailgate)Referring to paragraph #of the business' response: He stated "I have seen cracked dash boards before normally due to the heat of the sun' This vehicle has been garage kept all the years we have had it I was furnished a company truck and my wife has always had her own vehicle From until it was used only on week-ends to come from Orange, Tx to Buckhorn, TX to check on our residence in Buckhorn Pending my retirement Nov 3, 2006, we moved permanently from Orange to Buckhorn From July until the date of my returement Nov 3, I drove the truck daily from Buckhorn to my office in Orange where I picked up my company truck for my daily work On most of those days, the Dodge was parked in the company garage I noticed that the truck mileage was showing 100,as I was driving from picking up the truck at Exec Car Care to my home That is an average of approx miles it have been driven per month since date of purchase No exposure to heat of the sun I stand by my statement that the dash was not cracked when the truck was left in the care, custody and control of Mr***.Referring to paragraph #of the business' response: Our pending sale or trade of the vehicle was not discussed prior to our leaving it for detailing When we picked the truck up, Mr [redacted] was told we were considering selling the vehicle He wanted to know our asking price, etc He did not know we were thinking of selling the vehicle when he water spotted it I must say that the hood and sides of the truck did look good after being treated but what about the roof and tailgate? Would that not have been a concern of his if his reason for the additional work was to 'increase the value'? I find no fault with his water spotting treatment of the parts of the truck he addressed but do have a problem about not being consulted first and the fact that ALL of the truck was not treated.Referring to paragraph #of the business' response: The windshield has been replaced at our expense We were told by the glass repair shop that a wax or other chemical had been put on the window and even with their level of expertise it could not be removed Sincerely, [redacted] [redacted]

This letter is in response per complaint on Executive Car Care II that I received on October 30, The [redacted] 's were referred to me by another business owner in Kirbyville We spoke about getting a complete detail on their Dodge Ram P/U I gave them a starting quote of $ to receive a complete detail That consists in wash, wax, interior cleaning of carpet and vinyl, dress tires and inside vinyl and clean windows Mrs [redacted] did stress how SHE used a q-tip when cleaning her vehicle before We clean all our clients vehicle thoroughly Although I never expressed to her that we do that type of cleaning So we made an appointment of October 10th The first issue to address would be the dash board of the truck The dash board had a crack already I have seen cracked dash boards before normally due to the heat of the sun Over years upon detailing vehicles I have never encountered a situation to be accused in the result of cracking a dash board Our procedures in cleaning could not cause such an action After being washed, extreme water spots were discovered I recalled per my conversation with them prior that they were thinking about selling their truck and my experience with vehicles, I knew that with these water spots removed, it would definitely increase the value I proceded to use a solution to remove the water spots, and it worked very well I then took the action upon myself to buff the hood and sides of the truck to improve the gloss, and put a paint sealant to prevent the water spots from reoccurring This is NOT a procedure in a complete detail Since they were referred to me by a company I do business with, I didn't charge for the full amount I only charged $more from the starting price quoted just to cover the chemicals used Again, it is not the regular amount for all the work and time I put forth by removing the water spots alone Understanding my profession to cleaning vehicles, if I were to wax over the water spots without removal of the water spots, my work would be futile I simply wanted to try to satisfy them as clients Side Note: The top of the truck currently gives clear evidence of the severity of the water spots I did not remove any spots from that area of the truck As for the windshield, it too was covered with water spots If there weren't any water spots, glass cleaner would have been the only source of cleaning I regret any inconvenience due to the windshield I contacted a company in Jasper and they quoted me $to replace the windshield I then offered to pay $(1/of the price) and Mr [redacted] refused the offer I apologized to him that my offer wasn't good enough Each time the [redacted] 's came back on the 23rd and 28th of October, I tried to accommodate and fix every issue they had Apparently in my attempts there was not going to be a resolution to satisfy I apologize for that reason Sincerely, [redacted] Executive Car Care II

Referring to Mr***'s response on rejecting of paragraph #1:
From my understanding when Mr*** made the statement about cleaning the vents with Q-tips, she lead me to believe that was something she had done, and at NO time did I agree to use a Q-tip For the record, the vents WERE clean even though Q-tips weren't used
The quote I gave Mr*** was my starting price
As a discerning business man, I have a standard of cleaning a pick-up Cleaning a bed of a truck is the same as cleaning the trunk of a car I never clean or go into unless requested upon customer Front and rear bumper, nerf bars were all cleaned Tailgate was washed and waxed, but not buffed
Referring to Mr***'s response of paragraph #2:
I stand by my statement that the dash WAS cracked before I began ANY touching or cleaning of the vehicle Upon noticing the crack, that was nothing unusual to me I have cleaned many Dodge trucks of different ages and a cracked dash is the older they are What is unusual, per Mr***'s statement, for his truck to be garage-kept AND to have severe waterspouts as it did, since it usually comes from industrial fall out and/or well water
Response to paragraph #3:
At some point prior to the ***s leaving the truck in my care, in WAS mentioned to me that the vehicle may be sold Although it was during the time of pick up when I asked what was their "asking price" I appreciate that Mr*** finds no fault with my water spotting treatment on the certain parts of the truck I only hoped that he would Regarding the roof and tailgate not receiving the water spot treatment is because continuing that would have been a complete procedure which would have accrued more money Water spot treatment starts at $ That is why I only charged $for the chemicals used and a light buff My apologies of not consulting first with the water treatment, but it was a judgement call based on what was wanted I truly only tried to make a Dodge truck look as good as it can Apparently, my attempts in doing so didn't meet the ***'s expectation
The windshield has severe water spots, otherwise I would have only used a simple glass cleaner Again, my position was to pay 1/of the $to replace the windshield
Sincerely,
*** ***, Owner

I am rejecting this response because:
Mr [redacted] appears to have a faulty memory.  In PRIOR response  he stated correctly that he spoke with my wife regarding his initial quote and the 'q-tip issue'. (Which was said in jest in order to have him understand the degree of clean we desired)  Now he seems to have changed his mind and decided that he spoke directly with me.  At no time was the quote given as his 'starting price'.  He was asked if that was indeed his price to clean the truck thoroughly and she was assured it was.I know that, as the owner and primary operator of this vehicle,  the dash was not cracked prior to delivery to his place of business.  I know that the truck had to be taken back to have the nerf bars and both front and back bumpers cleaned.  The windshield was in pristine condition.  The list could go on.This vehicle has not been left out in the elements regardless of his statements.I stand by my statement that the other discrepancies noted are true and correct to the best of my knowledge.  The truth is often easily twisted to fit anyone's stance.  Regardless of the number of times you say something, does not make it truth. As we seem to have reached the limit of the services of the Revdex.com and are very appreciative of their efforts to help resolve this issue, at this time, our only remedy involving this issue seems to be the legal system.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:Referring to paragraph #2 of the business'  response the following needs to be addressed1. He stated we spoke about getting a complete detail of the vehicle.  In that conversation my wife stated to him that prior to him giving her a price quote he know that we wanted the degree of clean that would even take the use of a q-tip to clean the a/c vents if necessary.  At no time did she state that she had done that but was trying to have him understand what she was wanting quoted.  2. The quote he gave was $150 to do as she requested.  This was not expressed as a 'starting' quote but his quote to do the job.3. A prudent man would think that a 'complete' detail would include cleaning the bed of the truck and other deficiencies noted in prior correspondence. (cleaning front and back bumper, cleaning nerf bars, waxing and cleaning tailgate)Referring to paragraph #3 of the business' response:1.  He stated "I have seen cracked dash boards before normally due to the heat of the sun'.  This vehicle has been garage kept all the years we have had it.   I was furnished a company truck and my wife has always had her own vehicle.  From 2003 until 2006 it was used only on week-ends to come from Orange, Tx to Buckhorn, TX to check on our residence in Buckhorn.  Pending my retirement Nov 3, 2006, we moved permanently from Orange to Buckhorn.  From July until the date of my returement Nov 3,  I drove the truck daily from Buckhorn to my office in Orange where I picked up my company truck for my daily work.  On most of those days, the Dodge was parked in the company garage.  I noticed that the truck mileage was showing 100,077 as I was driving from picking up the truck at Exec Car Care to my home.  That is an average of approx 800 miles it have been driven per month since date of purchase.  No exposure to heat of the sun.  I stand by my statement that the dash was not cracked when the truck was left in the care, custody and control of Mr. [redacted].Referring to paragraph #4 of the business' response:1.  Our pending sale or trade of the vehicle was not discussed prior to our leaving it for detailing.  When we picked the truck up, Mr. [redacted] was told we were considering selling the vehicle.  He wanted to know our asking price, etc.  He did not know we were thinking of selling the vehicle when he water spotted it.  I must say that the hood and sides of the truck did look good after being treated but what about the roof and tailgate?  Would that not have been a concern of his if his reason for the additional work was to 'increase the value'?  I find no fault with his water spotting treatment of the parts of the truck he addressed but do have a problem about not being consulted first and the fact that ALL of the truck was not treated.Referring to paragraph #7 of the business' response:1.  The windshield has been replaced at our expense.  We were told by the glass repair shop that a wax or other chemical had been put on the window and even with their level of expertise it could not be removed.

This letter is in response per complaint on Executive Car Care II that I received on October 30, 2014.
The [redacted]'s were referred to me by another business owner in Kirbyville.  We spoke about getting a complete detail on their 2003 Dodge Ram P/U.  I gave them a starting quote of $150...

to receive a complete detail.  That consists in wash, wax, interior cleaning of carpet and vinyl, dress tires and inside vinyl and clean windows.  Mrs [redacted] did stress how SHE used a q-tip when cleaning her vehicle before.  We clean all our clients vehicle thoroughly.  Although I never expressed to her that we do that type of cleaning.  So we made an appointment of October 10th.
The first issue to address would be the dash board of the truck.  The dash board had a crack already.  I have seen cracked dash boards before normally due to the heat of the sun.  Over 30 years upon detailing vehicles I have never encountered a situation to be accused in the result of cracking a dash board.  Our procedures in cleaning could not cause such an action.
After being washed, extreme water spots were discovered.  I recalled per my conversation with them prior that they were thinking about selling their truck and my experience with vehicles,  I knew that with these water spots removed, it would definitely increase the value.
I proceded to use a solution to remove the water spots, and it worked very well.  I then took the action upon myself to buff the hood and sides of the truck to improve the gloss, and put a paint sealant to prevent the water spots from reoccurring.  This is NOT a NORMAL procedure in a complete detail.  Since they were referred to me by a company I do business with, I didn't charge for the full amount.  I only charged $30 more from the starting price quoted just to cover the chemicals used.  Again, it is not the regular amount for all the work and time I put forth by removing the water spots alone.  Understanding my profession to cleaning vehicles, if I were to wax over the water spots without removal of the water spots, my work would be futile.  I simply wanted to try to satisfy them as clients.
Side Note:  The top of the truck currently gives clear evidence of the severity of the water spots.  I did not remove any spots from that area of the truck.
As for the windshield, it too was covered with water spots.  If there weren't any water spots, glass cleaner would have been the only source of cleaning.  I regret any inconvenience due to the windshield.  I contacted a company in Jasper and they quoted me $200.00 to replace the windshield.  I then offered to pay $100.00 (1/2 of the price) and Mr [redacted] refused the offer.  I apologized to him that my offer wasn't good enough.
Each time the [redacted]'s came back on the 23rd and 28th of October, I tried to accommodate and fix every issue they had.  Apparently in my attempts there was not going to be a resolution to satisfy.  I apologize for that reason.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
