I understand that your the owner of the business and you have to attend your needs, but I am paying you for your time and expertise in driving and not for you to be on the phone doing other thingsi feel that was very unprofessional of you as an owner I don't think you would of appreciated if one of your employees doing the samei think that as you the owner are a very busy person, you should of let someone one els give me the lesson that could give me the time and attention that I am paying forthat is the reason why I am rejecting the response.

Review: I went to this company to take driving classes so I can get my drivers license. I payed 240 dollars for 5 class each class 45 mins, the car for taking the road test which I never took, and 5 hour driving video in which they only showed me 3 hours of the video and gave me the certificate. the first 3 classes was given by the owner (lady). she didn't teach me anything she was on the phone the whole time talking with other people and was just telling where to go and not how to drive. the 4 classes was given to me by an older guy and he did amazing he taught me how to drive and park. I didn't want to take my 5th class because I didn't want the owner to give me the class. when I told me boyfriend about what was going on we went to the driving school to ask for a refund she was nasty and wrote a check for $40.50 which is unfair for me to pay all this money for her not to teach me anything. I told her that it was unprofessional for her to be on the phone while giving the class and she replayed with a nasty tone "i have a 99% passing rate I just taught a kid that took 10 classes and he passed" so I told her just because I only took 5 classes and not 10 that you should be teaching like that.Desired Settlement: I would like Executive Driving School to pay me back 150 for the 5 classes 60 for the use of car for road test which I didn't take, and 15 for the appointment for the road test.

Response:

I do acknowledge that [redacted] registered for the 5 lesson package which is a total of $270 and is currently at a discounted rate of $245. This package includes 5 lessons at 45 minutes each lesson, the 5 hour Pre-Licensing course, the road test appointment and the car and instructor for the road test. The first 3 lessons that were given to [redacted] were given by myself, the owner of the driving school. [redacted] told me that she is a new driver, who had zero experience behind the wheel when she started on March **,2015. She had a double session (two lessons) on that day. Which only left her with 3 remaining sessions. At the end of the lesson I did an evaluation with her and I told her "As a new driver; she would need more than 5 classes based on her performance that day. She replied "I know, I will need more classes and I will add additional classes after my package is completed." After March **, [redacted] did not take another class until May **,2015, due to her medical issues and her availability. On that day we discussed scheduling a road test appointment for July *,2015 and her taking classes more frequently so that she can improve her driving skills and be prepared for the road test. Then on May ** she had another session with a different instructor because I was not available at the time. After that lesson we made numerous attempts to contact [redacted] and we did not hear back from her until July * which was the day after the scheduled road test date which she was aware of. She came into the office and told the receptionist that her grandmother is ill and she would be away for a while, so she requested a refund and said, "I'm not sure when I'll be able to continue my classes, when I'm ready I will come back." however I was on a lesson with another student when the office called and informed me of the situation. I replied "No problem, let her know that she can pass by later for a check because I was not available to sign it at the moment " and she left. I had my office call her and inform her of the refund amount and this is when everything went downhill. According to company policy..."If any refund is necessary it will be issued in the form of a check, for any service not rendered and there will be a fee of $10 or 10 percent, whichever is greater. Four lessons- $30 * 4=$120.5 Hour Pre-Licensing Course- $45Road Test Appointment- $15Total For Services Rendered- $180Cancellation Fee- $24.50Total- $204.50This leaving her with a refund of $40.50. [redacted] was unhappy as I explained to her that she is braking the package agreement, therefore she would be charged for services rendered individually and I cannot refund her based on the discounted package price because it is not a package anymore. As a business owner I am on the road giving lessons 7 days a week. If there are issues in he office, for example [redacted] herself the office would have to contact me to resolve any issues and the only way to do that is if I answer the phone. I answer the phone for work related issues and not for personal use during scheduled appointments. Thank You for Your Consideration.
