Executive Inn and Suites Reviews (1)

The Motel charged my bank card for more money than they should have without consent which overdrafted my account,On june 29,2014 I checked into the motel and I paid for a week and two days which I was told my the daughter of the manager would carry me to check out on July 8,2014. Half way through my stay the manager called me and said that I would have to come down to pay for another day if I was to the 8th. So I went down and paid for the extra day. The cost with tax was 56.oo and change. So I was on my way to the store and checked my balance first and I noticed the charge was for 86.16. Which overdrafted my account. I called the motel and spoke to the gentleman he assured me he would look into and get back to me. He never did. I called back and spoke to another gentleman and again nothing was solved.I asked for the owners number I was informed that they was not aloud to give me his number. So they took my number and said they would have him call me. He never returned my call and stil hasnt. So I called back and spoke to a lady she stated to me the reason for the charge was because we left the room a mess. Reality to this situation was the room was a mess when we checked in there was dirt and lighters behind the night stand the matress we filthy there was a hole in the bathroom wall the drawer was off the dresser the fridge had freeze pops spilled all over it and the air conditioner did not have any front cover. the room had a bad odor and the young daughter had to go get a machine to try to freshing up the room. The whole entire time we were there we recieved zero room service. I asked for a vaccum the lady told me to come get it. I went in the office I would have to wait ten minutes or so for the owners to come. They have their children working the front desk. The lady said she had to shampoo the carpet because the odor of urine in there. Keep in mind we did our own trash and no room service whats so ever. I swear the smell was in there from beginning.Desired SettlementI would like some of my money back because I had got poor customer service the rooms was of poor quality and because they caused my account to overdraft, I stayed at this motel because the other motel was booked. Business Response I remember this customer for several reasons. First of all, I have spoken to her on the phone about this situation a couple of times. Secondly, she refused the housekeeping services provided to weekly tenants. Most of all, this situation is memorable because after many years in the motel business, the condition she left this room in is among the worst I have seen. To better understand this particular situation I need to state what was explained to her (and all weekly tenants) at check-in. A small percentage of rooms are available for weekly rates. All of them are clean, comfortable, and safe. These rooms do not have the amenities of our very best rooms, and have not gone through the same cosmetic remodeling but are fully maintained and have microwave, refrigerator, cable television, and free Wi-Fi, just like every other room. Most people who rent weekly cannot afford the amenities, so we provide them with a very nice room at a discount rate. Services and expectations are different for weekly rooms. This lady was told at check-in the services provided and what was expected of her. Weekly rooms receive full housekeeping services just once a week on Fridays. Clean bath linens are provided daily if used linens are turned in. The tenant is asked to put large amounts of trash/garbage in our dumpster and not to overflow our smaller garbage cans near rooms because it is unhealthy and unattractive. They are asked not to let garbage pile up inside the room itself. From the beginning of her stay this woman ignored the request not to over fill the garbage cans. She consistently asked for linens without returning dirty linens and refused housekeeping services on Fridays. This lady was given a very reasonable weekly rate of $175.00 plus tax, when she discovered she would need extra days she was given a daily rate of $49.95 plus tax, which is also a discounted rate. The day the lady checked out housekeeping was told to clean the room so it would be ready to rent. Upon opening the door, housekeeping came and told me that I need to look at the room. What I found was shocking; the smell of urine and spoiled food was overwhelming as I approached the door. Upon entering the room I found the entire floor, table, and dresser covered with dirty diapers and spoiled food. Even with my help it took more than a day for housekeeping to clean the room enough to start deodorizing it. The carpet had to be shampooed, and commercial deodorizer was used several times. Further the door has been left open daily in an effort to air out this room. Still, at the time of this writing the room odor is too bad to be able to rent out the room. I have explained to the lady that the additional charge was due to expenses incurred because of the condition she left the room. This does not even take into account lost revenue because the room is not rentable. The lady refused to take responsibility for her actions, although she does not deny she left the room in this condition. Her position is she is not responsible because the owners should clean a room as part of business no matter what condition it is kept in. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)All down right lies. Nothing explained. Her young daughter was running the desk. I might if gotten a weekly rate but if the daughter wants to tell the truth I paid for sat to sat plus two days . Then in the middle of the week I was told to come down that I needed to pay for an extra day because their weeks ran from sat to Fri. Now mind you the daughter even spoke to the mother about the charges before I paid upon checking in. I really don't understand what they are trying to do but should a child be running the front desk and as far as rules regulations I got none of that. If the child wants to tell the truth the room stunk when we got there so she went and got a machine to take the smell out which didn't work. The only reason I didn't pack back up and go to another hotel is because none were available in[redacted] and my family didn't have any extra space. I called to try to talk this situation out several times spoke to both the managers.and they acted likd they didn't know what I was talking about took my number and said they would have the owner call me but he never did. They refused to give me the owners number. So I will.make sure to spread the word to many as I can to make sure they never stay at the executive inn and suites because it is a filthy establishment and they allow thtir children to run the front desk. Customer service stinks. So good luck and I hope your proud everytime you tell lies and rip the next customer off. I personally don't accept it but they tell nothing but lies so I am done. Thanks for your time.
