[i feel that just a sorry is not good enough and I can prove to exide technology that they battery that they sold me after the proration only saved me 1 dollar plus tax. I can go to my local tractor supply and buy that battery today for 79.99 plus tax so I feel like exide technology did nothing but waste my time on two accusations about an hour each time. I will never buy another exide battery in my life bc of such poor care for there customers and because they have a very poor product that they do not want to stand by regardless where or not I can find the original receipt. the batteries are all date stamped. ]

Review: I had a platinum 8 year exide battery with a three year replacement warranty which started to constintly die on me during the year of 2013. for over half a year I was recharging the battery almost monthly and never new if the car was going to start or not. I got fed up with the battery always dying on my so I went to [redacted] to get my battery checked out and I was told that it was a bad battery. before I had a chance to buy a new battery the sales rep pointed out that my battery was still under warranty and that I should have the manufacturer replace it. I first contacted exide headquarters in january while I was still under warranty and asked how I could replace the battery since none of the stores I went to had exide batteries. the lady told me that I could buy any battery and send the recipt or go to my local exide warehouse since there was one located in richmond. that day I came home and put the battery on a half a day slow charge and took it to advance auto parts to have a second opinion before I sent my brother to the exide warehouse. advance told me that the battery was holding some charge but was in very poor shape and didnt have no where close to the cranking amps stated on the battery. the next day my bother went to exide warehouse where the [redacted] checked out the battery and said that he wouldnt replace it bc he didnt find anything wrong with it.now its been a little over 4 months and ive already had the battery die on my 3 times and now it had a complete dead cell in it. I spoke to the [redacted] before I came in 6/16/14 and he told me that he remembers my battery and that if it has a bad cell he would replace it and if it didnt he would send me packing again like he did a few months prior. this time he checked it and told me that I had a bad cell and that I was out of luck since now my warranty is out. at first he didnt want to prorate my battery for a new one but then he did. he sold me a 79.99 dollar battery for 141.29 less the 66.62 prorate.Desired Settlement: I want the 78.63 refunded back to my card for the replacement battery and I would also like a comparable battery to what I had. instead of getting a 8 year platinum battery I recieved a cheap 79.99 30 month battery which is already 2 months old from date on battery. I also let the manager know that I called the local tractor supply company which had the same battery for 79.99 which he sold me for 141.29. I was told by him that I had to only exchange from the warehouse for the warranty to work.
