The Client failed to notice the sign that is in our coatroom. The sign stated, "Not responsible for Lost or Stolen Articles."
The client was informed that we followed through on trying to locate the coat that she thought was her missing coat....

We went above and beyond for the client giving her a [redacted] gift card and informed her that the coat that was left behind was exact to her coat, the brand being Colombia, the same size, same color and style, that she can come pick it up or we would mail it to her. It is the same brand Colombia coat and same size as her coat. If needed we have pictures of the coat and the sign in our coat room.
The complaint was delivered to the wrong Vanis salon location and addressed to the wrong Manager.

I'm not accepting their response as there was no sign indicating they were not responsible for loss or stolen articles. If there is a sign now it was placed after this reported incident. Also, the coat that was left behind, yes it is the same brand name, Columbia, but the label indicating the size was not the same label or color of the label. Also, my coat has a gray fur hood, and my coat is charcoal black gray in color. The coat that was left behind had pleats on the side, and a brown fur on the hood. I do not believe that this salon has taken the time to view there security camera. When I discussed with Ms. [redacted] if they could check their security camera Ms. [redacted] stated that the security cameras video does not show the entry way to the front door and that only the "top of heads" was visible in the recording that she alleges was viewed. Stated that she was going to see if the camera men could get a better view. I find it difficult to believe that an upscale salon as this, would not have the best security camera system available. It's difficult for me to accept that Vanis Salon would only want to see the "top of heads" of an individual or individuals. Wouldn't Vanis Salon want to see who took the coat and view me as I'm walking into the salon wearing my coat? This would prove that the coat that was left behind was not the same coat that I walked in with! Please, you need only to view your security camera and you will see that the coat that was left behind is not my coat. I am mailing back the 2 Vanis Salon gift cards each with a value for [redacted] with an expiration date of 03-14-2017. I am not accepting these gift cards and/ or the coat that was left behind by the person who took my coat. That coat does not belong to me. The Vanis Salon gift cards totaling [redacted] and the coat that does not belong to me is not a fair settlement. I paid [redacted] for my coat and after viewing on eBay similar coats as mine [redacted] is a fair asking settlement. On February 10,2017, the day after my coat went missing Ms. [redacted] you had told me "not to worry that you were going to look at the computer to see similar coats as mine." You gave me the impression that if your "honest customer" didn't return the coat you would offer a monetary settlement. You told me not to worry that all your customers are "honest". Please view your security cameras and you will see that I am telling the truth.
