Scenario: Booked a package through Expedia which included a flight/hotel and car rental. The car rental included full coverage insurance.
Upon arrival at my destination the rental car company also charges you for insurance essentially doubling the insurance costs for your car rental. What was an expected cost of 500.00 dollars nearly doubled to a charge of 1000.00. Both Expedia and the car rental agency (AVIS in this instance) are committing fraud double charging you for a single service/product.
Additionally the car reservation that I had booked was for a convertible, and was indeed provided a convertible but they also charged me an upgrade stating that the vehicle I was provided was an upgrade as the vehicle I had booked was not available. When I was at the rental car location I could clearly see multiple vehicles available in my "charge group".
