Review: I hired Expediant Environmental Solutions to remediate a mold and mildew problem in the finished basement of a home I own at [redacted]. I told my contact person, [redacted] that my daughter, would be living in the house, was asthmatic and they she reacted strongly to mold. [redacted] assured me that the mold would be removed and that the company provided a 21 year guarantee for their services. On June **, 2014 a technician from Expediant applied chemicals to surface mold and heat treatment to mold that might be behind walls and ceiling tiles. When the technician was finished I walked through the basement with him and told him that I could still smell the same musty odor that was there before he started. He assured me that the smell was residual and would go away. I paid the entire fee of $2715.00, which included air testing that the technician claimed that he performed when I was not present. The results of the air testing were to be emailed to me within a few days.

That is the background. I have never received the mold test that I paid for. The musty mold smell has gotten worse each day since the treatment, despite my having two dehumidifiers running continuously. My daughter cannot use the house due to her asthma; the mold is a health problem. I called the company on July *, 2014 and spoke to [redacted], explained the problem, and asked for the company to honor their guarantee and return and remediate the mold problem. [redacted] said that she would have [redacted] call me. I received no return call. I called again and had the same interaction. Again, no response. I called [redacted] and left a voicemail. No return call.

Expediant has failed to provide the services that they advertised, the remediation of the mold and mildew in my house. Furthermore, the company is avoiding honoring its guarantee to return and continue to remediate the mold problem until it is gone. Since the house is unusable by my daughter due the mold's detrimental effect on her health, I can no longer wait for Expediant to honor their guarantee and return to mediate the problem. I have since hired another company to test the basement for mold and the results show a very high concentration of Aspergillus/Penicillium mold present. I can provide a copy of this report if you would like. I now need to hire another company to do the work properly.Desired Settlement: Refund the $2515.00 for mold remediation services. They failed to remediate the problem and failed to honor their guarantee to return and continue to work on the problem until it is resolved. Refund the $200.00 for post work testing. They failed to do the work or to deliver the test results.
