I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. If this is true and I don't find reason to believe otherwise, I apologize for my error in mistaking another business with the same name. I do not wish to provide harm to an innocent business.

This customer has confused my company with another that they spoke to. We have no female marketers who would be calling a customer to confirm, set, or have anything to do with this type of behavior. I repeat, my Company has no female marketers. There is a mistake on the customers part here

This company was closed 12/2025, and reopened under the name Mid Atlantic Home Remodelers. Both entities owned by Ed J[redacted]. I had a screen porch addition put on by this company that was defective, violated codes, and we're unsightly. Mr j[redacted]'s crew were not skilled at their jobs and were unsupervised. I had several contentious encounters with him in person and on the phone during which Mr J[redacted] was rude, condescending, and bullying. He demanded Nearly ½ total payment before materials were ordered or work underway. My complaint to consumer protection was closed after Mr Ja[redacted] and his lawyer strung out mediation for nearly a year and refused to fix unsightly siding. Closed, but not resolved.

Attorney [redacted] to initially provide plans for a potential home improvement project. [redacted] and her husband are both Attorneys. The contract amount was for $ 2,800.00. Expert homes personnel with an Architect met with the [redacted]s and spent several hours obtaining their design intentions. Plans were provided and the contract was complete. The contract was merely for plans which were provided. Once the plans were provided, the parties were to discuss the Home Improvement project costs. Once Attorney [redacted] got what she needed , she attempted to  demand a return of the monies spent alleging that the " plans were unsuitable " and demanding that Expert Home Remodelers ( in addition of the time and money already lost pay her in green cash or a Certified check even though the Attorneys did not pay Expert Home Remodelers with green cash or a certified check-double standard. My Attorney asked her to explain why the plans were . She never adequately answered the question. Dear Sir/Madam: Attached are emails from Ed J[redacted], promising to provide building plans for an addition. One is dated from Nov. 24, when he said he would provide plans. When we did not hear for another month, we contacted him and these emails are dated 12/24/14. These email communications show that he was promising to provide plans on Nov. 24 and again with his email of 12/24/14.  He is now claiming that he provided us with plans according to the contract. There is no credibility in his statements.  He also promised to pay back the money because he did not do the job according to the contract. Why was he promising to pay back our money if he thought he was done with the job. He wanted to pay us with the company check and we asked for cashier's check. He is upset that we did not take his company check. Well, we have now learned that the charter for his company has been forfeited. That is the reason he is trying to pay with company checks we believe.
After waiting for yet another month and learning that he is going to take another week or longer we told him to refund us our money on 12/24/14. Mr. J[redacted] has an attorney and has communicated to us through his attorney that he is renegging on his settlement offer now. See attached email from his attorney.
We believe that there is a pattern of deceptive practice and have since been in contact with another client of his company who is looking to press similar complains. We request that you contact [redacted] at ###-###-#### and independently investigate whether this company is credible or the customers making complaints. Thank you.

Review: In February, 2014 a representative came out to my home at an appointed time to discuss a bathroom remodeling project we were anticipating doing in our home. Partway through the presentation, my wife and I decided that the service offered was not to our liking and politely informed the representative that it did not meet our needs. The representative called his home company and explained that we were not interested and left. On 3/12/14 I received a call from the supervisor at Expert Home Remodelers who tried to figure our what we were looking to do with our remodeling project. She wanted to set an appointment to come out to see us the next day (3/13/14) which I informed her would not work. I provided a date that would work (3/19/14) but she kept pressuring me to accept 3/13/14. At that point I realized that I did not want to work with this company and told the supervisor that I was not interested and broke off the contact. On 3/18/14 at 9:33am, I received a call from the supervisor who wanted to confirm an appointment for 3/19/14. I told her that "there is no such appointment, I am not interested in their work and not to call me again, to take me off their list." At 11:33am I received another call from this company to confirm our appointment. I told her that I was filing a complaint, that this turned into harassment. I was not interested in working with their company as I don't like their business practices. She claimed to have understood me but I thought it was understood in the 2 prior calls as well.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to not contact me at any time in the future and their business pressure tactics to be noted so others can evaluate whether they want to do business. Ideally, the business should get the message that if they don't hear what the customer is saying and respect their wishes in the front end of the transaction, the customer won't feel like he will be heard in other parts of the business relationship.
