I am rejecting this response because:I am shocked that Expert Interior is still denying responsibility and still getting the facts incorrect The facts are as such. A new roof vent was not installed The extension to the roof vent was not on the roof vent I have never had the roof vent replaced, the original vent is still attached The reason the roof vent was leaking is because the roofer hooked up the duct work without the extension to the roof vent causing there to be a little bit of leakage Over a five year period, that moisture that escaped caused a small amount of mold.In and around February 2016, I had my exhaust fan replaced The electrician noticed the duct work going into the roof vent was installed incorrectly and there was mold in the attic The electrician did not removal the duct work As a favor, he placed tape around the duct work where it was attached to the roof vent to ensure there was no leakage, until I could get Expert out to correct the problem Let me repeat, the electrician taped the duct work in February to prevent further leakage until I could get the roofer out to the correct the problem The electrician did not install the roof vent on the exhaust fan duct work, he merely replaced the exhaust fan and taped around the roof vent to ensure there was no further air escaping until I could get the original roofer out.In March 2016, I had *** Roofing out *** Roofing said I need a new roof vent because whoever installed the roof vent (Expert Interiors) lost the extension piece, which makes it impossible to hook up the roof vent correct I eventually paid *** Roofing $to correct the problem after Expert Interiors refused to return my phone calls (after insisting they would call me back during every call) and they made clear they felt that it was not their responsibility
What new information I have learned is that I paid for a new roof vent that I did not receive The bottom line is the extension to the roof vent was not present and no one other than Expert touched the roof vent expect the electrician who placed tape around the duct work after showing me the problem Expert is completely confusing the issue to avoid responsibility, which is greatly disappointing for such a small matter They are not standing my their warranty which is why I am bringing the matter to the attention of the Revdex.com

Expert Interiors & Exteriors Inc. installed the roof of [redacted] in 2012. Right after we installed the roof, the homeowner had a leak due a faulty stove pipe. The homeowner had a choice to have a new pipe...

installed by a certified stove company or we could remove it since it was old and rusted out. The homeowner decided to have us remove it. We removed it and installed decking on roof where the pipe used to be, and we performed interior work all free of charge due to the inconvenience of the homeowner. For over three years there was not one leak, through major rains, storms and etc.  In 2015 the homeowner noticed a leak, and let us know that he went on roof and removed snow and ice. Our service tech went to the home and inspected for any problem areas and found that the leak was due to ice damming. We let the homeowner know and his respose was, "We referred you to people, can't you fix the interior for free ." The answer we are sorry, no we can't because it is not a workmanship issue" was not acceptable to him. On the back of our contract it states we are not responsible for acts of nature/God. Ice damming is an act of nature/ God.

Expert Interiors & Exteriors Inc,  installed [redacted]’s roof in 2011 as we were contracted
to do. We installed all new plywood, felt, drip edge, ice & water shield
and a roof vent. In February 2016 we received a call from [redacted] regarding
the mold in his attic. We spoke to...

[redacted] and informed him that we would be
out when the weather permitted. Approximately, the first week of March we sent
out our service technician to the residence and he notified us that the mold
had absolutely nothing to do with the roof installation or the roof vent. The
mold was actually caused by the flex pipe that was attached to the bathroom
exhaust fan, that was installed by another company, after Expert installed the
roof. Our service technician informed [redacted] that the mold and moisture was
not caused by the roof that it was in fact caused by the bathroom exhaust fan, and flex pipe because it was not hooked up properly, it was taped
to the vent instead of clamped on with hose clamps and this is what caused the
growth of mold. [redacted] was told by the service technician and the office
staff that this was not our responsibility and he insists otherwise.
In closing, I would also like you to know that the [redacted]
does not come with a detractor or extension that [redacted] is referring to.
Please find our invoice for all of the roofing material including the NEW ROOF
VENT that was purchased and installed along with a copy of the proper
installation for the roof vent. Thank You,Bob H[redacted]
