My experience with Expert Mechanical today concerning my heat pump went extremely well. The serviceman, [redacted], was extremely polite, knowledgeable and detailed. He took the time to find the problem, fixed it and then did a complete inspection and system check to insure I had no other problems. I finally have heat!!!! I would highly recommend Expert Mechanical to anyone who needs A/C or Heat repaired!!!

I had pool pump issues and these people replaced the pump. During that service they were difficult to deal with. Now, only 5 months later the pump is not working again and they are telling me they won't look at it because the warranty was only 30 days. A 30 day warranty is not acceptable. I have had other issues with this company in the past and do not advise using them.

My home warranty company assigned Expert Mechanical of Las Vegas (an affiliate of the parent company in Arizona) to repair a plumbing leak at rental property in Henderson, NV on 1 January. No one from the company contacted me with any details after the service call was performed.

I was able to get a hold of the plumber on 2 January. He claimed the warranty company did not intend to cover the repairs and he needed guidance from the owner. His verbal estimate was $1400 and he said it would take 10-14 days for parts. I was obviously concerned about additional damage from an ongoing leak so I asked him to send me a formal quote right away and I would authorize repairs out-of-pocket. I then tried to follow up with the plumber every day for the next four days and he would not return calls or texts.

On 6 January, I got in touch with a manager at Expert Mechanical who said the quote was now between $2300-$2600 and he was waiting for authorization from the warranty company to proceed. I reminded him this repair was not going to be covered by the warranty company and that I needed the parts ordered ASAP to prevent further damage. But, since repairs were already delayed, I asked him to clarify the reason for the additional $900 to $1200. He claimed that was the fee negotiated with the warranty company for “overhead.”

I explained to him that any fee should be negotiated between the service provider and the customer and had nothing to do with the warranty company, especially consdering they had denied the claim. Then I told him I would need to see a written estimate with an itemized breakdown before I authorized that kind of charge.

During the course of this discussion, I asked what he charged for labor. He stated that it varied depending on the customer. I told him this policy sounded dishonest because he should be charging the same rate to all customers. He got very huffy at this point but promised to provide a written estimate soon. Instead, he called me thirty minutes later and left a voicemail saying they did not have the proper permits to do this job so he was cancelling the repairs.

Now I’m almost a week into this emergency callout situation and back to square one. Not only did this put me in a real bind with an active leak in my house that is still not addressed, but the entire experience seemed suspicious on several counts. The distinct impression I got was that Expert Mechanical was price gouging due to my desperate situation and they may have even been working with the home warranty company to inflate prices for mutual profit. Then, when I caused waves by questioning their charges, it appears they tried to punish me by cancelling the job.

The bottom line is that this company had NO concern for the customer, their rates are suspicious (the leak was eventually repaired for $450) and their generally business approach seems predatory. The public should be made aware of their questionable practices. My only regret is that I didn't pay them any money or I would file a formal complaint instead of a "customer review."

[redacted] from Expert Mechanical arrived at my house promptly and worked diligently at the difficult task of working with my failed hot water heater. It's location was precarious. I feel he was polite, professional and thorough. I would use Expert Mechanical again without fail.

I called the company to ask for an emergency service on a Saturday. The technician that came not only was very rude, but it was the closest experience to the threats you can see in TV. He said that the capacitor and fan were burnt due to our negligence ( coil being dirty) when they are the ones who have been maintaining our ac units and I have proof that they cleaned it last year. He said that it would cost 1500$ to fix it but it would not last more than a month and he could install another unit only that day for 8K.

I ended calling another company for a second opinion to find out that the fan and capacitor WERE working they were just disconnected and for less than 200$ I had my unit running again.

Unprofessional. Lock of knowledge. Careless. They fix freon leak on valve on my AC by taping around electrical tape. And I have to pay for that fix and a freon.3 days late freon got to smart and leaked thru the tape.I call back to expert mechanical they came back and fixed a valve but they forgot to place caps on valve and convinced me it is not important. 2 years late I have to call other company for check of missing freon. after test which I have to pay I was told need to place a missing cap on valve.

Management did not even apologize for that kind of service.

I had Expert Mechanical out to our house to do an AC inspection and tune-up. [redacted] was great. He didn't even have any problems with my crazy dog barking at him. He also did a coil cleaning for me after explaining how it was important for keep our electric bill down. I would recommend him to anyone!

Hi, I recently had a leak under my kitchen sink Dennis from expert mechanical came and fixed my problem very professional. I will use this company again but send Dennis.

I recently had a pool leak on the backwash valve and piping going to the valve. Ben from Expert Mechanical arrived early and quickly resolved the problems. This not my first experience using Expert Mechanical and at all times their service people are courteous, responsible and perform their work well. I highly recommend Expert Mechanical.

[redacted] was great! Not only did he do what he came to do, he cleaned our coils too. But that's not all. He noticed that we had low pressure in our water lines, something that we had started to be plagued with recently, so he set us up to have a plummer from Expert Mech come out to work on our pressure regulator. We want [redacted] to get a big THANKS from us!

Air conditioner problems for two (2) months. Expert mechanical has been to fix problem five (5) times. It is still not resolved. have been completely without air conditioner for six (6) consecutive days with temps above 100 degrees. They have very slow response time, have explained away not showing up for scheduled service call twice in one week by saying they had an emergency. Repair guys did not even check air handler in attic the first three times. Air handler is the problem though. Very unprofessional, rude, and evidently sickly people working for this outfit.
