To whom it may concern,Mr***’s complaints about our company and thesituation in regards to his Chevy Cobalt SS are inaccurateOn 11/20/14Coos Bay Police dispatched us to the scene of an accidentWhen our driverarrived on scene, he was told that the Cobalt was involved in a hit and
run,subject to arrestMr*** was not at the scene, according to the policereport he was already taken into custodyThere was no request made to drop thevehicle off anywhereI can provide a copy of the Coos Bay Police IncidentReport #*** where in the summary it states “ARR/ ***, ***, CHG/Fail to perform the duties of a driver, Reckless Driving, Cited/ DWS Violation,Driving Uninsured, *** lodged at CCJ”(Coos County Jail)Since he wastaken into custody and taken to Coos County Jail after the accident, his claimsof waiting for the vehicle to arrive at his residence can be nothing other thanfalseAs are the rest of his claims about the amounts he was quoted for histow billMr*** states that the vehicle was not impounded, this ispartially true, the vehicle did not have a hold on it from CBPD, but it wastake to our impound yard as is standard procedureMr*** also statesthat the day after it was impounded he was told the bill was $1250, this is alsonot true, the bill was in fact $We first heard from Mr*** on11/24/when he called for charges, at this date his tow bill was $714.75, hewas told all he needed was cash and Valid Drivers Licensed Driver to pick uphis vehicle. We made multiple attemptsto contact him in regards to his vehicle and bill, all of which wereunsuccessful as his number would go to voice mail and he did not return our messages.On 12/17/we contacted the company he bought the vehicle from, *** *** in Brooks, ORWhere they were given an option to pay the tow billand take the carThey chose not toAlso a certified letter was sent to Mr.*** and his Lien Holder stating that the vehicle was going to be auctionedoff on 12/19/unless one of the parties paid the existing tow bill, daysafter the tow, in order to pay for the tow billAfter it was not purchased atauction it became Expert Towing propertyA few weeks after the auction Mr.*** came by and asked the owner what she was going to do with the vehicleand how muchHe did not state that he was the previous owner or that he wastrying to attain information in regards to reacquiring the CobaltShe said, “Idon’t know, after it is fixed, maybe $5000.” Again, Mr***’s statementabout being billed for $for his car is unsubstantiated, this “Quote” and Iuse the term lightly, was not for the tow bill, but a rough estimate on thevalue of the vehicle after repairing the damage Mr*** did attempt to file a policereport against us in regards to this situation and they found that his claimswere unwarranted and that we did nothing unlawfulThe incident report, which Ihave attached, states that Mr*** was untruthful with the Police andthese allegations are also untruthful
