Ultimate Roofing and Construction appreciates the opportunity to respond to the complaint made by [redacted] on March 27, 2015. Mrs. [redacted] was a customer of ours, but unfortunately Mrs. [redacted]'s recitation of the...
facts is not accurate. Mrs. [redacted]'s home was damaged by a storm in May 2013, and needed certain interior and exterior repairs. On July 25, 2013, we entered into a contract to repair Mrs. [redacted]'s roof and portion of interior only. The initial contract price was $6,903.91, and insurance approved damages of appox. $8,400.00. After fully and correctly performing the repairs to Mrs. [redacted]'s roof, Mrs. [redacted] advised us as to her family's health issues, and her desire to not pay the balance for the work performed by Ultimate Roofing and Construction. Ultimate Roofing and Construction's primary focus is on customer service, and upon hearing about Mr. [redacted]'s family emergency agreed to discount the total cost of our bill. In fact, Ultimate Roofing and Construction discounted the bill by more than $1,400.00. We did this in an attempt to accommodate Mrs. [redacted] and her family. In spite of our accommodation, Mrs. [redacted] believed that she was not obligated to pay even the reduced contract amount. After extended conversations with Mrs. [redacted], she agreed to pay our bill for the work that was performed. At no time prior to the filing of this complaint, were we advised that Mrs. [redacted] was dissatisfied with our work. We are disappointed in the allegations put forward by Mrs. [redacted], but believe we performed the work we contracted to do in workmanlike and timely manner. We also believe that we did everything we could as a customer-oriented company to assist Mrs. [redacted] and her family in their time of need. Our Final contract states ROOF ONLY and is initialed by husband and owner of Ultimate Roofing and Construction.
