March 5, 2016  To Whom It May Concern -  Thank you for giving us the opportunity to respond to complaint ID [redacted]   As I read the complaint I wanted to acknowledge that the customer is correct about the name changing to Expert Yard and Garden.   Also we...

acknowledge that the customers mower was in our shop for two weeks.   There were various issues with this mower.  First, there was a carburetor issue.  Once we replaced the carburetor we found there was a stuck valve.  Both issues were related to the unit having been ran with old/bad gas which is something very common in our industry.  The customer had notified us that he would be by on Tuesday to pick up the mower but showed up on Monday morning and was waiting in the parking lot, with his wife, before we opened.  The customer was very upset his mower was not completed and started cussing.  We returned the gentleman's mower to him.  As he continued to use fowl language [redacted] told the customer:  "Here's all your money back and we aren't going to do business with you because you are acting like an as."  The customer took his money and mower and returned to his truck.  Shortly thereafter his wife got out and came into the store and used the same type of fowl language and informed [redacted] that when refunding the money he shorted them 64 cents.  [redacted] handed her a dollar and thinking she had grabbed hold of it he let go and the dollar fell on the ground.  At that point the wife was angrier and threw her water bottle at [redacted]  Somewhere in this story another customer shows up.  [redacted] told her she was going to have to leave and when she finally got outside the building he pulled down the overhead/bay door.   These doors are ten feet, or more, high and not something that pulls down quickly.Shortly after this event and not knowing any details the customer contacted me and I apologized for everything and informed him we would still like to fix his mower.  I ask him to bring the mower to my store in Arlington but he text me back later saying he would decline the offer.  He ask that in the future no other customer be treated "this way."   I agreed with him that no customer should be treated like this.   At this point I  was never told by the customer about he and his wife's on behavior in the store.  I did call [redacted] and without asking he started telling me what happened.  He has communicated with me ways that this could have been handled better.There were two items, both related, left off the customers mower: the air filter and air filter cover.  Both items were mailed back to the customer the next day.  We deeply regret this issue and hope to be better in the future in every aspect.  As for an apology,  [redacted] would be willing to write an appropriate apology and mail it to the customer.  As the owner of Expert Yard and Garden, LLC, I deeply regret that there was a problem and apologize.  Sincerely,[redacted]Expert Yard and Garden, LLC

Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below. The response from the business owner is false and did not happen like he portrayed it. I do understand that a father will protect and lie for his son to try and save face with the public. I can see that nothing is going to be accomplished here by arguing with these lying and cheating people so hopefully others will do research before using this company and hopefully they will not be scammed likwme they tried to do to me. Also after I got the lawn mower home I ordered a carburetor and put it in myself and the lawn mower ran perfect. Thats all the mower needed when it went in and they tried to convince me it was a junk engine and would cost more to fix than a new mower.
