Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/11/06) */
The consumer made the first inquiry regarding his file with Explore Information Services, LLC ("Explore") on May 12, 2015. Explore provided the consumer information in its file about him and a traffic offense Explore reported to his insurer in...

November 2014 relating to a traffic conviction from August 2014. The consumer advised Explore that the official court records had incorrectly described the offense.
1. As of no later than June 23, 2015, Explore had received corrected information from its MN DPS sources regarding the corrected description of the August 2014 traffic offense. Explore advised the consumer of this by letter and copy of updated file information dated June 24, 2015. Explore believes confusion exists because the file report will continue to show that Explore did report to the consumer's insurer, the offense as originally reported by the court. Explore cannot retroactively change what it reported in November 2014 and this will continue to be included as an historical report on the consumer's file. However, the current information regarding the August 2014 offense is corrected on the consumer's file maintained by Explore. In the event an authorized user requests the consumer's file in the future, in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Explore will report the corrected offense description.
2. Explore, in accordance with the consumer's request through a third party, and in accordance with 15 USC 611d, advised the consumer's insurer of the updated information on October 16, 2015.
In summary, Explore's records for the consumer indicate the corrected offense description provided by the MN DPS, as of no later than June 23, 2015 and Explore has advised the consumer's insurer of this, in accordance with 15 USC 611d, as of October 16, 2015. There has not been a need for another re-investigation of the file since June 23, 2015 when Explore advised the consumer his file information had been corrected.
