I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] is lying. I rejected the canacelation option cause I was not made aware of the As Is clause till I was signing papers and only had the required down payment. If I would have known there was an As Is clause when purchasing the vehicle and 250.00 dollar option I would have included that in my down payment. When I inquired about the vehicle He never disclosed that all vehicles were sold As Is. That would have made a difference Prior to getting my credit ran and signing for a loan on this car at a separate location! I could have purchased it without a loan from a private seller if that was the case. [redacted] originally said that the overheating is cause the water pump needs to be replaced and he will pay for that. It wasn’t till his personal mechanic told him it was 700.00 that he decided to change his mind and only pay 350.00 cause he said that’s the standard cost of repairing a water pump! I didn’t take it to my mechanic I called around and price checked and it’s running 510.00 or 600.00 for manufacture suggested repair of water pump. At that time I took it to one of the mechanics. The mechanic would like to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation due to unethical practices of the dealership! When I took it back to him there wasn’t any fluid in the vehicle cause it will not hold any fluid cause the water pump is damaged. The car now jus sits cause this needs to be resolved. At very least he needs to do as he stated and that was “if it’s definately the water pump, then I have no problem repairing that for you” He can’t change his mind cause he was informed of the price. How easily he changed his mind about paying for the water pump says a lot about his character and business practices!

On 4/11/2018 Mrs. [redacted] purchased the 2007 [redacted] that I purchased from the auction and drove it over 30 miles without any problem. She also test drove the vehicle before she purchased it and liked it. She was aware that it was as is and declined the contract cancelation option. Next day she...

came to me and told me it was overheating. I told her to take it to the mechanic and I will pay for the diagnostic. The mechanic found out that the water pump was going out and it cost around $700 to fix it. I told Mrs. [redacted] I would help her by paying half of the cost. She called me later and told me her mechanic would fix it for $500 and I would pay half of that and I agreed. Five days later she drove back with the [redacted] and said her mechanic told her that there was a substance on the radiator cap and he wouldn't repair it. Mrs. [redacted] said she'd rather exchange it for something else. However, she didn't  show me any diagnostic documents to prove it, therefore, I checked the temperature gage  on the [redacted] and was half way which is normal and the rest of the fluids were also normal and I didn't noticed any substance in the radiator cap. Today, I would keep my promise to Mrs. [redacted] by paying half of the cost of the water pump.Sincerely, [redacted]

Review: On March 17, 2014 I purchased a Honda Civic yr 2002 from Express Auto Sales. Within several days of purchase I discovered that the back passenger wheel was a 14'' wheel while the other three tires were 15''. At the same time I noticed that all of the inner wheel linings of the vehicle were missing. The next week I took the car to a certified Honda dealer and was informed that none of the Safety Recalls had ever been performed on the vehicle-this would explain why the car was sold to me with the 'Airbag' light on. Within this same week(the second week of ownership) I had to replace the timing belt that was 50,000 miles overdue AND within two weeks of this repair my transmission failed. I was told by mechanic that likely cause for transmission failure was the incorrectly sized back passenger wheel.Desired Settlement: I would like reimbursment for new tire, wheel linings, timing belt and transmission repairs.

Express Auto Sales' staff are very sorry to know what happened to Miss [redacted] and very surprised she didn't contact us immediately. When Miss. [redacted] and her friend came on March 21, 2014 to check the 2002 Honda civic and test drove it there was no airbag noticed by her or anyone else. The car drove very smoothly and therefore she decided to purchase the car. All our vehicles are smogged and inspected for safety before they displayed for sale. After driving the car for almost two months why we should be responsible when she purchased the car as is and declined the the contract cacellation option agreement.

Review: I bought a used 2004 Land Rover on 11/28/14. The vehicle was spotless as far as the inside and under the hood. My girlfriend and I both test drove the vehicle and it seemed to drive great. After having the vehicle two days, I started to notice that it was leaking something because there was a spot in my driveway where the vehicle was parked and there was a loud tapping noise coming from the engine. I assumed it was oil but each time I checked the dip stick, the oil levels were fine. I called the dealership a few days after I noticed the leak and the tapping noise, to explain to them what was going on. I seemed to get the run around from them at first, when and if I was able to get them on the phone. They stated that the oil in the car was changed before I bought it. I requested a copy of the receipt for the oil change by phone and was told I could go pick up a copy of it. I tried three times to go get a copy of the receipt and was told I had to come back because it was locked up. After going back and forth on the phone with the dealership it was finally agreed that I could bring the truck to the mechanic the dealership uses for them to look at the truck on the dealerships expense. The truck was with the mechanic from 12/29/14-1/12/15. The diagnosis from the mechanic is that it needs a new engine, new master cylinder, and new transfer case assembly totaling $15,993.43. I bought the vehicle for $8,995.00. I put $1200 down on the vehicle. The dealership is putting all blame on me stating its my fault they sold me a vehicle with a bad break system and a bad engine. So basically now I am without a vehicle, I owe the bank for the truck that I cannot drive and I cannot afford to fix. I cannot afford to put a new engine in a vehicle that I just bought and had for a month. I haven't even made the first payment on it and it needs a new engine. The mechanic stated that the break system has been bad and did not just start leaking and the engine is fried. The radiator was also replaced.Desired Settlement: The dealership can have the vehicle back. I would like for them to pay off the loan to the finance company and to refund me back my $1200 down payment.
