Review: On ** November 2012, I pawned a watch with this company. I went to retrieve it on * September 2013, but was told the watch was sold or otherwise disposed of. [redacted] are a regulated business. One of the edicts written in stone is that if the broker wishes to sell the property after holding it for the required 120 days, is to send the owner a certified letter with return receipt requested, advising that the property will be auctioned, sold or disposed of, unless a payment is received. I received no such communication nor communication of any kind, from this broker - at any time. I did send Express Buyers, Inc., a certified letter stating in part, that I'd be contacting your office for resolution. I asked the broker his e mail address so I could send him a copy of said letter by e mail, but he first gave me an address of [redacted] which I tried - the e mail was returned undeliverable. I called back and was given e mail address "the same," but at [redacted]. that e mail was also returned as undeliverable.Desired Settlement: the business tactics of this company are deplorable and suggest that it is the owners intent to deny following the rules and converting jewelry or other goods left - to cash. I want my watch back or the funds necessary to replace my watch

Response:
At this time, I have not been contacted by Express Buyers regarding complaint ID [redacted].
Sincerely,
In fact, I went to the location with a friend of mine from [redacted] community to try to settle this amicably but when [redacted] was pressed for copies of any letters or phone bills showing any kind of attempt to contact me, he refused and asked us to leave. This is a regulated business; if I chose to make a formal complaint to the issuing licensing bureau, to whom would I make that complaint?
