I had a very negative experience with this company. When they were tearing off the old roofs, they broke many of my azaleas, camellias, and other foundation plantings. My yard looked like a bomb had exploded on the roof. There was so much debris on my back porch that I couldn't get out the back door for two days. The workers damaged the backyard fence, knocking a section down. They made no effort to fix it until I pointed it out to them.
The owner did honor the contract price even after he discovered that there was more work involved on removing the roofs and that his cost would be higher.
The roof was completed on 11/10/15. On 12/24/15, it began to leak. I called on 12/25, 12/26 and 12/28 asking for someone to contact me with no results. I sent an email stating the problem on 12/26. No response. I hired another contractor to fix the roof and to repair the ceiling in my bedroom which was ruined by the leak.
American roofing did a $30,000 reroofing of my estate. We used thirty-year architectural shingles, which totally added a new look to our estate. Multiple buildings were reroofed in a very short period of time. The work was impeccable, as well as the repairs to the underlying woodwork. The work was done in a very short period of time, and consideration was given to the landscaping, so that no damage was done to our property. [redacted] suggested a color for our shingles which we would not have ordinarily considered, but was perfect for our house. The cost was extremely reasonable, beating the other estimates we have had. They came back and corrected a few very small issues with the roof at no cost to us. This company is very reliable and conscientious about their work, and had our best interest at heart.
