Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10327089, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]
Ms. B[redacted] indicates that the fees cannot be explained and I am requesting a breakdown to explain what I must pay for. If I pay the $5763 fee, ECH can easily profit from my early termination by renting the apartment upon my vacating it. Also as she indicates, the fee is arbitrary because there is no explanation for it.
Further, there have been numerous problems with the rentals that I have reported. The first apartment in [redacted] on [redacted] smelled strongly of fumes that did not dissipate regardless of what I tried. The management company assured me the smell would go away, but it never did. The apartment also had roaches, a broken dishwasher and a broken washing machine.
Fortunately, I had only signed a short lease and was able to quickly move into the current apartment. The television was broken and needed to be replaced, but it took several days to do this. The second television and cable system was also faulty, but I was tired of having strangers come into the apartment when I wasn't there, so I had a friend fix it for me. The broken television was reported to ECH twice.
My personal and professional circumstances changed and I must leave ** so I have to vacate the apartment early.
I propose to pay an additional month's rent at $3920.
Regards,
[redacted]

The client signed a Corporate apartment lease with our Company on July 29, 2014 for the lease term of September 26, 2014 through March 24, 2014. With no complaints of the product delivered due to reason having nothing to do with the product or services rendered the client contacted us letting...

us know she may need to break her lease early. Understanding that situations sometimes arise that prevents individuals from being able to carry out their commitments, we provided the client with two options to choose from. As a legal contract was signed we are not legally bound to offer break leases but anytime that the community will allow us to break our lease with them we offer the same terms to our clients. This guest was notified that we would only be passing on the terms that we are able to negotiate with our vendors. This client is staying in a full Corporate apartment that was leased expressly for her and her needs. It takes approximately 6 vendors to have each apartment set up so we are only passing on the true cost of what it will cost us to break the lease. We are sorry that the guest is unable to stay or has expressed that she feels the cost is arbitrary. We feel we are doing the right thing by not holding a guest that has had a change in her situation to a lease through March 24th at the full rate.
1) Pay $5783.00 move out on Jan. 31st (paying through lease would have been $7280.00 passing on a savings to the client of $1497.00) with no other penalties or
fees. No forfeit of deposit unless the unit is damaged. With a 60 day notice.2) Pay through your lease
term of March 24th 2015 ($7280.00).
Sincerely,Teresa B[redacted]
