Express Davisville Lube Reviews (1)

Review: On Nov.30 my husband [redacted] took my Dodge Durango to get an oil change and the next day I noticed that there was oil leaking from the front and mid section of the bottom of the car. So I took it back and they said the transfer case was leaking 12/2/13. On the 12/06/13 the oil light had came on and we stopped and checked the oil and it showed it had oil in it so not sure why the light had came on. After checking it the light had gone off. I have never seen the oil light come on before. I had asked my grandpa why it had gone on and he said to disconnect the battery and let the computer reset itself. on the night of 12/16/13 the car was making a ticking noise and knocking so I drove home from the grocery store and had talked to my husband [redacted] and decided to take it to a auto shop on 12/17/13 to get checked and they stated to test it with a hand held device and nothing showed up on it. So we had left it there so they could look more into it. They checked the oil and made sure it had the right oil and filter in it and noticed that the filter had very little oil in it which was not good they said. So they had thought it might be the oil pump but not having oil for sometime the engine has been damaged. I was told that I needed a new engine. They called Davisville lube and told them what had happened and they said they change a thousands of cars oil and their oil is certified. They kind of blew us off. I had called and talked to Miguel Manger of the shop and he said to bring by the summary report from the auto shop and I never heard back from them and so I went by and asked to speak to Miguel and he was out of town so I left my name and number and didn't hear back. A $53.52 oil change ended up costing me $2915. The oil had a large amount of slug in it not sure why the Davisville didn't recommend to flush the oil before the oil change to prevent the amount of oil flow.Desired Settlement: I had to buy a used engine and have been left without a car for awhile. I am a married low income family of 6 and had to wait to use my income tax to pay for everything. I would like to be refunded the amount of everything or at least have and an apology for not responding back and blowing me off like I was nobody I had paid for their services and didn't get any good customer service. My next step will be taking them to court.

I just received mail from my bookkeeper which included this letter from your Bureau, so still Within your 10 days fortunately. Indeed this vehicle under [redacted] Ownership was Brought in by her husband on that date the says. Husband authorized standard Oil change That was done, with the correct oil filter, oil viscosity and quantity as the Investigator Of Bar Confirmed. Couple of other services where recommended but denied by her Husband on the same date as noted on invoice handed to her. Indeed she came back couple of days later with drips from the Transfer Case, which was inspected and retightened. There was no need to add since it leaked Only few drips being a real thin fluid and she drove off after [redacted] (manager) showed her under the vehicle that drips came out of middle of truck and wasn't oil. 2 weeks later she called and spoke with me, [redacted] the manager over the phone reporting engine knocking and drove it to shop like that, where she said her husband Usually takes his cars to. I told her the shop's diagnostic after finding no oil in filter was probably Accurate (OIL PUMP FAILURE). Offered advice once that shop in Woodland California recommended Repairs. As my responsibility and liability was in oil change done properly and asked about Oil liver or If shop found leaks, she reported NO such things was reported by them. Oil was full, correct filter used And no leaks. Customer called BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair) and he also reported the information about, oil, filter, and no oil leaks when it arrived at Woodland SHOP. As manager as had to be the one to speak with her on the date she came in after Woodland shop diagnostic and quote, but I was out of the country for over a week. This might be the reason she noted she felt that we (ignored her) "Blew Her OFF". 2 days after I arrived from vacation I was visited by the BAR representative. I apologize for the misunderstanding on that, but wasn't by choice, I had to be the Getting in touch with her and was not in the Country. The representative of the BAR said she had put In a claim so it was up to them to see if my Shop, Davisville Express Lube would be liable.
