Express Floors Inc Reviews (3)

The client called to place an order over the phone. We explained that this job would need to be done in phases due to other construction not related to our field. Phase 1 was to remove and dispose of tile. The second phase would be any required floor preparation as well as the installation of the...

clients selected material. The client was charged the going rate for tile removal and disposal, which we completed and he paid in full closing phase of one the deal. The customer was never charged or billed for phase 2. Attached is a copy of the invoice showing that phase one was completed.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[ 1) Right off with the first sentence of their reply is an out right lie and [redacted] & [redacted] (who work in the front of the store) know this because I was in there multiple times trying to organize this whole flooring selection & operation with this home remodel and home addition.  Because I was there multiple times they were well aware of the needed full removal of everything that would be on the home's salb because we were adding onto the house along with remodeling the existing house floor plan. We could not have anything on top of the original slab surface.2) The second phase that was talked about with all the original discussions in the store was for them to level the floor IF leveling might be needed since 36" long flooring planks would be installed. No one knew what might be found prior to the demolition.3) During the process of their crew removing the old flooring material it was found that the prior floor had a leveling material. The lead crew man for the guys removing the old material didn't want to do anymore work after 2 days. He tells [redacted] that they can just pour new leveling material all over the floor with ALL THIS UN-REMOVED MATERIAL still on the floor. No one would lay down leveling material onto old un-removed material to do a good job of floor leveling. No one knows if the prior work for leveling was even done correctly. AND, it doesn't do us any good to have left all this old material on the slab when framing has to be attached onto the slab for all the walls going up.4) The store owner came out to thee jobsite and even he AGREED with the job's superintendent that it all had to be removed prior to any more work being performed. To the point that he calls back the crew lead man. This guy shows up without any tools. He borrows the superintendent's power chisel and chips for 15 minutes, breaks the jobsite's new broom handle in half, & leaves with still a hold lot of material on the floor where framing has to be nailed down onto the slab.5) After a number of phone calls & emailing [redacted] sticks to this story that they will just pour leveling compound down on top of the remaining material on the floor when they come back to install the floor.6) After all these attempts for them to satisfy us (their client) it was to no avail. We waited very patiently for them to respond to our pleads to finish so we could have the framers come in to get the walls up. NO WILLINGNESS TO HELP TO HELP AT ALL!! Thus having to involve the Revdex.com to try and get them to finish a job that they got paid in full ahead of time.7) Since this all started we have had to hire another to come in to finish taking out the un-removed material so work could keep moving forward.8) SEE ATTACHED PICTURES TAKEN JANUARY 6th 2018                                                                                                                       These are 2 different areas in the home that needed walls to be and with all the material that FLOORS TO GO refused to remove we could not install the base plates for the walls to built.    Here is one of a number of emails sent back & forth with [redacted]. You can see that I was not a call in customer. So, I was a walk in customer who visted the store & spoke to 3 different guys there.
Regards,
[redacted]

The contract was accepted over the phone via Mr. [redacted]. We were contracted to remove and dispose of tile which was completed. The customer has been told on several discussions that this is a 2 phase job and any floor prep can not be done during phase one. The current state of the sub floor requires leveling (adding more cement not removing more) which the customer was never charged for and was quoted $1500 to get done. Per our agreement tile was removed and disposed of.
