Express Heating & Air Conditioning

From my initial contact setting up an appointment to the completion of the repair of our air conditioning system, Express Heating & Air Conditioning exceeded my expectations. Kevin, the technician, was pleasant, professional, arrived as scheduled, quickly diagnosed the problem and efficiently completed the repair. I wish we had used this company to install our HVAC systems years ago during our renovation project.

About 1 week past, my AC stopped blowing cold air. I searched the net and and found Express Heating & Air Conditioning and the rep agreed to come to my rescue the following day. The tech arrived at 8:59 AM. I directed him to the AC. He immediately went to work, opening an access panel and using his equipment tested the unit. He advised me that the dual capacitor was out. The cost was $245, however the capacitor was in warranty so It would be $200.00. He went to his truck, came back with the new part and installed. Of course the AC worked. Presented me with an electronic invoice for $270.00. I presented my credit card and signed the invoice and received a copy and the tech left. I reviewed the invoice and realized that I paid $70 for the use of the diagnostic tool and $200 for the installation of the capacitor and the entire time on site for the tech was 21 minutes. I made some random calls to other dealers of my brand of AC and asked the cost to replace this specific part and not one dealer was more than $125.00. I spoke with I assume to be Express and questioned him about the $200 and at first he said this cost was related to the diagnostic and the labor. When I told him that the diagnostic was an additional $70.00 he switched and said that they had just stated electronic invoicing. I asked is the $200 for labor, his replay was no it is for the knowledge. Never again
