Express Moves

My experience with Express Moves LLC, was a disaster for these reasons.
1. Was 45 minutes late without notification.
2. When trying (tried numerous times over several days) to contact the company could not get a live person or a return call.
3. The mover hit my mail box with my new (less than 6 mo. old) stainless steel refrigerator putting
4. 2 long scratches on it.
5. The price was over the amount for 3 hours without a reason stated.
6. The movers moved my stuff into storage wrong (put all the boxes in front instead of in the back) because of the way they moved everything I did not have enough room and I had to rent an additional storage space and because they packed the storage this way they tried to fit my new mattress shoved up against the door and then tried to shut the door, when I told them not to do that they open the door and my mattress was covered with dirt from the door.
I finally got ahold of someone named Robert who assured me that he would send me an email stating that the company would take care of getting it fixed when I moved and was able to take it out of storage but guess what, he lied too.

SECOND PART OF DISPUTE

Clint first made contact on 11/2/2018
He called the main number

He informed them that we were getting the refrigerator out of the storage and they set a date to come out on 11/6/2018 to look at it.

On 11/6/2018 someone called at 7:32 a.m. and said that they would be there within 1 hour.

After not hearing anything from them Clint called the main line again at 9:36 a.m. to find out where they are they said they would be here at a quarter to 1 p.m.

Then at 2:34 p.m. a gentleman named Robert called and said he would be here in about 40 minutes.

Robert as well as another gentleman that had actually participated in the move and did the damage arrived at 3:39 p.m.

Clint was not here so I called him and asked him to come over here he sent Chad.

Chad and I talked to them for a while before Chad called Clint at 4:43 to come over.

Clint arrived within minutes and discussed the damages. The gentleman that had did the move took responsibility over some of the damages but not all. We explained that we could not see the other damages until after removing the plastic wrapping off the refrigerator and discovered that there was more damage than what was initially discovered. They discussed what was going to be done to fix it. And how all we knew was that there was no damage to the refrigerator before they touched it. The gentleman said he would be replacing the bottom freezer door as well as the other door and would buff out any remaining marks.

On 11/7/2018 Clint called Robert at 11:52 a.m. Robert requested that he call him later that night between 5 and 6 p.m.

At 5:46 p.m. Clint called Robert at which time Robert said he was right in the middle of a move and would call him right back when he was done.

Robert never called back, and we haven't heard from him since.

On 11/12/18, Nancy Vinson spoke with Robert, (Express Movers) and asked when they were going to replace the door and fix the rest of the problem, I was told to call in an hour did.
On 11/13/18 the same thing happened again.

I contacted your business the way I was instructed to.  I negotiated the price in advance.  When they arrived they never said there were any extra charges for the slot machine and I was never informed prior to the move of any additional charges as required by law.  So how am I unreasonable when I followed the instructions given to me by your people and then your people change the amount of our oral contract.  Had your people stated that there was an additional charge for the slot machine when they arrived, in fact they said it was not that heavy, there is a 2 hours minimum and a 15% service charge when I called.  I could have made an informed decision as to whether to utilize your services or not.  The fact that the person who took my call when the job was done and told me that the movers who came over should not have charged me the 15% and that they are independent contractors is your problem not mine.  The fact is people working for you lied to me or gave me incorrect information that caused me to pay more than I was told it would cost.  Per your website here is what you state and I feel I am still owed the $10.00 per satisfaction guaranteed!!1) No Moving Company Hidden Fees!2) No Moving Company Local Trip Charges! Welcome to Express Moves moving company where PROFESSIONAL SERVICES and CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS GUARANTEED!

I'm sorry you are upset with your charge.You where truly under charged.and given and great deal.You where charge $65 plus a 15% service fee of 9.75 for a total of 74.75.If you want the 25 cents we will gladly return it.As for the statement of independent contractor . WAll our employees are employed...

by Express Moves . ..If you look at our website page you were see That I the OWNER service you.I was on site.and after moving a large slot machine . Yes you should have been charged more.and need to fire the lady who gave you your price.I do believe you are being truly unreasonable . Yes you helped  push a dolly under it.but it's our job to have the proper help.

Reasons not to take this service, dishonesty, and a lack of professionalism. Service was an hour late from a start time of 8 am, arrived at 8:55 am and clocked themselves at 9am. Didn't tell or contact me prior to let me know they would start at 9 am.

I have a two bedroom apt but workers commented that a larger truck was going to be needed to move us right. Told me that certain items like lamps could not be transported due to breakage, but they still moved my lamps and broke the bulb around the base of the lamp.

I was quoted $65 per hour without additional fees. But I was charged a service fee for my IKEA bed to be taken down and rebuilt. The workers didn't even complete the rebuild.

I called their office to see if they would make it right and they said they would get back to me within the hour. I have not gotten a response from them.

Express moves was the best moving company that I have used I recommend that anyone looking for a move use them. They were on time excellent customer service and they did a great job at completing my move in a timely fashion but a GREAT service to use. Also they completed my moved at like 11:00 at night I am thankful for them.

I requested a last second move and they were wonderful, they came right on time. THANKS GUYS!

Moved furniture so fast my head spun! I called them about 9:30 AM and had scheduled for a 2 PM pickup in North Scottsdale. A crew called me back about 15 minutes later and asked if they could pick up early. I agreed and by the time I had time to call my folks in Scottsdale to tell them they were coming the door bell was already ringing. By 11 AM my 3 new couches were sitting in my downtown living room!

This family owned business has earned my business from this day forward. Great Rates! Great Service! Good work Guys! And remember to tip your movers! I did this work for 3 years and will not tip less than $20 per man for any size job because I know how hard they work.
