Hello this is *** *** from Express Oil Change LLCI did try to contact Mr*** about the matter of refunding his money for the rear differential pinion seal
The customer did not want to discuss the matter unless I was going to pay for the bill of the differential that was rebuiltIn the original letter Mr*** states, "They commented go ahead and sue its not the first time." which is a statement, there was not anyone who made that statementI am willing to reimburse the original payment of $for the original work preformed on the vehicleThe shop did fail to explain in detail on the invoice about any possible internal damage of the differentialExpress Oil Change did not diagnose the differential only preformed the work that Mr*** was concerned aboutOn the invoice we only stated that the fluid was burnt and was low this is an indicator that there was possible internal damageThe vehicle has almost miles on the factory differential and we do not have any records of any previous servicesDue to this fact as a shop manager I am willing to reimburse the original amount that was paid to the shop for the work preformed on the vehicle
Thank You
Express Oil Change

We at Express Oil Change wanted to settle the situation in a calm manner and refund the customers original amount paid. Not an admission of guilt or wrong doing but as a settlement to the dispute of the work preformed on the truck. We do not have any records or history of service on the vehicle and did not diagnose the differential but only preformed the work that was requested by the customer. By not diagnosing the vehicle and letting it go without any further estimates or comments about the possible damage we did not do our job to the fullest so we are still willing to refund the original amount paid to Express Oil Change of 192.95. The invoice did state that the gear oil was burnt, and low prior to service and that is a sign of lack of maintenance or prior internal damage. On the bottom of every invoice it does state "In the event of a problem after a service of any kind, Express Oil Change must be notified and allowed to check the vehicle before any repairs are made. Any other action shall void any warranties weather written or implied." The customer did not want us to touch the vehicle after the service just wanted a refund for the amount paid. Without any prior service history and no chance for our mechanic to check the work preformed we cannot know for sure if the problem happened prior to service or after the service. For these reasons we will agree to refund the customer the amount paid for the service to settle the dispute.
For the record none of the Houston locations have been sued so the comment stated before was false. We have never said " go ahead and sue it's not the first time"

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]
Regards,

In response to rebuttal from [redacted], the comment in reference to the, “Go ahead and sue it’s not the first time" was made by [redacted] at the Corporate office in Alabama on Monday 28th of July 2014, which he works with [redacted] the Vice President of Express Oil Corporate, this statement is true. On August 08, 2014 [redacted] from Express oil called and stated they will reimburse me the 192.95 for the replacement of the Rear Pinion Seal. [redacted] stated, “That his mechanics torque the rear Pinion nut to 17 lbs of torque”. This is just to cover himself, and then I ask why it was so difficult to be removed by a well trained mechanic. My mechanic said, the rear was damaged due to the Pinion Nut being over tightened, causing damage to the rear internal parts. I asked [redacted], “Who is going to pay for the damage to the rear end”. [redacted] said, “They would not”. I told him that I will get my lawyer to handle it. [redacted] stated, “Due to this fact as a shop manager I am willing to reimburse the original amount that was paid to the shop for the work performed on the vehicle”. My question is that if they are willing to reimburse the repair then that is admission of wrong doing and/or guilt. As for the truck mileage, the truck was sound mechanically until I asked Express Oil to change a seal that had a light leak.
