I am new to the area and did not really have a local plumbing company, I got a personal reference to use Express Plumbing, and I was very satisfiedThey were very accommodating to my scheduleThey were reasonable, friendly and very professionalI hope this helps others that need a good reliable plumber

I set up appointments and was stood up for all of themNever received a call back ever from the companyWould not ever recommend this company or to use *** *** to hire anyoneObviously *** *** is just like *** *** if the company pay money to them they get a good reviewThis company also has an A+ rating somehow with the Revdex.com Just another ripoff scam

I am with drawing my complaint as Express Plumbing took steps to resolve the matter to my satisfaction on 5/13/17.Sincerely,*** ***

A lawsuit was filed in StLouis County Circuit Court on Friday, 4/21/2017. At this time, due to the matter being handled by the courts, we are unable to comment or assist her through the Revdex.com regarding this complaint. Thank you

I am responding to Mr***'s complaintWe did the work on 5/25/but he did not call back a couple of days later as he said. He actually called on 6/and it was *** ***. He stated that it was one of my men who performed the work but it was I took the service call and
personally who did the work. I am the owner so I know what happened. I worked on one toilet that was upstairs. I showed him the floor boards were rotted and the work I performed was only going to be temporary until he had the floor fixed. The boards were rotted and needed to be replaced. Thus, I could not warranty/guaranty the work until the floor was properly repaired and I could come back out. Mr*** said he fully understood this. He showed me another toilet on the first floor but just by seeing it, I could tell it was improperly installed and I did not want to even look at it. I was only there for one and a quarter hours not two hours and that is what I charged him. I have been in this profession for a very long time and take much pride and care in my work and with customers. I have many customers who will vouch for my work and service. I was honest and upfront with Mr*** and did everything I could for his work request

Do yourself a favor and hire a professional like Express Plumbing for your plumbing needs. Had the bad experience with [redacted] "exclusive installation" company for water heaters. (You can find lots of negatives about them here and other places.) So I threw them out after they arrived to do the install and told me the list of things they WERE NOT going to do and after informing me I would have to pay over $600 more than their already high installation cost to correct code violations. Fact is, if you don't have a "cookie cutter" installation, they are not interested. So I was in a pinch and went to [redacted]. Was immediately contacted by Express Plumbing, quoted over the phone. I told him I had some gas piping that needed correction and he had someone there to look at it within the hour. Moved his next day schedule around to get my new heater installed next day. No complaints, no problems, no whining for extras (there was extra cost for the gas line but half what the other is wanted). Very professional and courteous. HIGHLY recommend. And saved more than $300 over the HD guys. I WILL be using this team for future projects!

called me and I was out of town in California which I am two hours behind time. I told her that is sounds like the drain was backed up because it always backed up to the lowest point. I told that I would have my drain guy first thing in the morning and there would be no charge. She agreed to that. The next morning I got a text saying she canceled. Monday I got a call from home advisory saying she wanted a partial refund. I indeed called her at 830 pm and she did not answer the phone. the following day I called home advisory and told them that I was not going to give her a refund and there no way that she was on the line. Home advisory agreed with me because somebody else went out there who I don't know and charge more money. she made the dession of calling somebody we had appointment she canceled on us. Jim at Express Plumbing made an appointment to meet me at my parents house to fix some plumbing problems while my dad recovered from surgery. It is an hour drive with my mom who needs 24 hour care, so I made an appointment with him that I could make after work. I was impressed he was so flexible and would come in the later afternoon. However, to my surprise, when I showed up he wasn't there. I called him and he said he was in a class, which he forgot was at the same time. He offered it would be over in an hour and could meet then, so I waited for him an hour and a half. He still never showed up. Upon calling again, a lady answered saying he was still in class for an additional hour - at this point it was nearly 6pm, and it was obvious he didn't intend to come. It was not only inconsiderate, but unprofessional to make an appointment he didn't intend to keep. I can only assume the photos I sent, at his request, made him decide he didn't want the job, but he never contacted me as such. I would not call them again because if he cannot be trusted to keep an appointment, then I don't trust him with my work.

They installed a water heater for me. They were very professional and responded to my request for service within an hour of my phone call. I really appreciated the good customer service.

They installed a water heater for us. Timely response. Excellent service, very professional. Extremely helpful with other minor plumbing issues and questions. Very fair pricing. I would highly recommend them.

Express repaired a water heater for me after it went out. The level of customer service was impressive and it was a relief to have hot water again so quickly!

Review: My fiance and I just moved into our home on March 21, 2014. I notice that quite regularly we needed to turn up the dial on the hot water heater in order to get hot water. Also the length of time we have hot water for is a very short period. We called HSA on March 24, 2014 to report the problem. They sent out [redacted] from Express Plumbing. He filed a report that said the temperature dial was only turned half way up and that I take 20 min. showers. Both of those statements are not true. The dial for the hot water heater is in between the hot and very hot area. At the time of the service call, [redacted] told my fiance that he legally could only turn the dial up to hot , but yet ours is way past that in order to get hot water??? He also made reference to the fact that I lived in a condo previously and that I was use to having water quicker since I previously lived in a condo. We were not referring to the amount of time we have to wait for the hot water to get hot. It is a 40 gallon tank and there are only two of us. I feel the plumber, did not give truthful information to HSA. I know the previously mentioned problems are signs of a failing hot water heater and have had previous experience with hot water heaters in the past with these problem that leaked. I was trying to be proactive so that our items in the basement are not ruined when the hot water heater leaks. At this point I just want my $75.00 back. That was what the call cost us.Desired Settlement: $75.00

Business

Response:

Unfortunately, the first time that I

heard of [redacted] problem with our service

was when I received an email from the Revdex.com. Our company has a written “Conflict

Resolution Policy” in place to handle issues that our customers have with

products, safety, workmanship and timing.

In essence, an employee in a management position, not associated with

the initial service issue, is in charge of resolving the issue in a fair and

ethical manner. We were never given this

opportunity, as office records indicate that we never fielded this request.

I have attached [redacted]s

field notes that support the theory of a larger house and 20 minute

showers. It would be quite unusual for [redacted]

to not give truthful information about a customers length of time in the

shower. I believe that his field notes

show a great deal of effort in getting to the root of the customers issue.

The customer also

states that she wants to be proactive about a leaking water heater. The HSA contract does not cover potential or

future problems when it comes to the plumbing system in their customers

home. The contract, found here, http://map.onlinehsa.com/pdfs/MW2013.pdf,

clearly states that. Quite honestly, we would have been in a better financial situation if we had replaced the water heater, as HSA would have paid us for the replacement of the water heater which is significantly higher than $75. We will NEVER misrepresent a situation for financial gain.

[redacted] Stanton

initiated the call to HSA, at which time a representative informed them that

there would be a trade call fee of $75.

Additionally, she signed a work authorization stating that she would pay

the $75 fee. I have attached that to

this email as well. I see no issues with

the service that [redacted] provided, which is what the complaint against us

states. I believe that the real issue

here is a homeowner who just wanted a new water heater that was not covered by

her HSA contract. I have no intention of

refunding her $75.

I currently own a

business that won a Revdex.com Torch Award for Businessplace Ethics, and I run Express

Plumbing with the same commitment to excellence and ethics. If the customer had called me with a

reasonable request to resolve this issue, I am sure that the outcome of her

situation would have been vastly different.

Business

Response:

You initiated the call with HSA for service and they provided you with an explanation of the $75 charge to have us come out and diagnose your issue. HSA also offered to send another company to come out and diagnose your issue at no charge. According to our territory manager, you refused this offer. [redacted] and I discussed this project the same day that he was out there to service the call and numerous times after. We have both discussed the situation with HSA. At length. We all feel that we properly diagnosed your situation and we all agree that we will not refund your $75.

Consumer

Response:

Doug from express plumbing went out of his way on two occasions to get our hot water heater up and running. When the part he needed was not readily available he spent all afternoon working on getting the correct part. Doug worked well past his normal shift on a Friday night to ensure we had hot water over the weekend. I couldn't be more pleases with the service we received, especially considering it was home warranty claim!
