On 02/10/I had a scheduled tax appointment with MrCharles A*** of Express Tax Service During the time we were preparing taxes, suddenly the door was thrown open and a women identifying as his wife burst into the room and began demanding why the door was closed She then told me I had to leave I told her that I was here doing my taxes as she knew as she was the "receptionist" and had demanded I pay $in advance She essentially threw me out of the office stating I had to go as the "waiting room was full" I asked MrA*** what was going on and he stated he would "make an appointment with me to finish my taxes on Monday (today, the 12th) I have not had any phone call and when I tried to call, the woman answered the phone and informed me not to call again I was not given a refund and I was treated unconscionably I have been going to MrA*** for the last years and have never been treated in such a horrible manner by any business ever I am at a loss what to d

Review: Customer service issue: I filed my 2012 state taxes through Mission Taxes. I paid for their services to efile my taxes. I thought that was the end of filing my taxes. However, three days before the April 15th deadline to file taxes, I received a call from [redacted]. He claimed that the taxes were completed incorrectly, that they had failed to account for local taxes, and that I owed $622. I was baffled by this so I contacted [redacted]. I felt that he failed to provide an adequate explanation. I continued to seek an explanation regarding the filing of my taxes. This culminated in an unpleasant conversation. I feel people there have not been nice to me after that conversation I had with [redacted] and people there keep referring me him. I explained to him that what he was saying about my taxes did not make sense because of estimated state taxes that I had already paid. [redacted] reviewed my tax documents after someone else ([redacted]) had prepared my paperwork. In my emails to Mission Taxes, I stated that I had paid estimated taxes. I felt I had no choice but to have Mission Taxes file my 2012 state taxes and to pay the additional $622. However, I requested a refund of $95 for their services because I felt they did not prepare my taxes correctly and I did not feel I was being respected as any customer should be respected.Refund issue: It has been almost 2 months and I have not received my refund. I have called Mission Taxes 2 - 3 times regarding my refund. First I was told that it was sent to an incorrect address but I was not told where it was sent. Then I was told on two other occasions that it would be sent.Incorrectly filed taxes: The Comptroller of MD confirmed that my taxes were filed incorrectly because I had already paid my state taxes when I paid estimated taxes. Thus, I paid more than two times my state taxes. This was very difficult for me considering that I am a student and do not have substantial income. This is the second time that my taxes have been incorrectly filed by Mission Taxes.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund at the very least. Beyond that, it would be nice if [redacted] and others (e.g. [redacted]) could acknowledge that I have not been treated nicely since that unpleasant conversation that [redacted] and I had. It would also be nice if this business could acknowledge that my taxes were incorrectly filed. I have documentation to support that a mistake was made in filing my taxes.
