Horrible customer service… worse delivery
At least 2 or 3 times a month I get no delivery. When I call I am promised a Re delivery Which never happens, then I get a useless credit. Over this past weekend I had no delivery
For 3 consecutive days which is inexcusable. Words can not
Describe how dissatisfied I am. It makes no sense to switch to the morning call because they use the same Delivery service. If I could give less then one star I would

Credit instead of my paper
Delivery is horrible. Can't see it I'm the driveway when I look from my house in the winter, so I have to walk all the way to the street. Usually it's not there. When I call they say it's still to early. Like they're coming at 10am. I call back and they say they give me a credit. I want to read the paper, not a credit. Plus how does anyone even know if you get a credit?

Terrible delivery! Horrible customer service!!
Since we moved to this location,we have not received the paper at least 100 times! I've called probably 80 of those times and have been given empty promises of same-day delivery. Customer service placates and promises but NEVER follow through. Because this local paper has been a staple in our household for over 50 years,I was hoping against hope that this situation would be resolved... Foolish me...Now I can only wait until our current subscription runs out and we make the switch to the other Lehigh Valley newspaper.

I stopped my paper delivery for a month because my wife and I were on vacation. Delivery was supposed to resume 11/23. As of today, my newspaper delivery has still not resumed. I have called customer service Sat., Sun and Mon. morning, each time being promised delivery the next day. Nothing ! My wife called Nick Falsone this morning and left a message-call not returned yet. I just left Mr. Falsone a message. I wonder if he will return our calls and be able to help us. If I wanted to get up every morning and drive to the store for a paper, I wouldn't be paying 270.00 plus a year for a subscription !

The free Mainstreet Marketplace gets thrown onto my driveway and I've call twice to have it stopped to no avail. We travel quite a bit and we stop our newspaper and mail, for obvious reasons, however the Marketplace ends up sitting in our driveway sort of giving others reason to believe we are not at home. I getting frustrated and will start calling authorities if action isn't taken immediately.

paper is news less. only they have wire news. Sports section is joke, no box scores for baseball . Even the web sight is bad. delivery is around 630 and on Sundays lucking if I get before I leave for church at 8 am

I called The Express-Times to ask if they had delivery to my address. I was assured that they did indeed deliver to my area (in Monroe County, Pa). I requested only the weekend issues and was told that I would receive the paper not that weekend, but the following. I paid for 6 months of weekend delivery. It has been 4 weekends PAST the expected delivery weekend and I have not received one paper! I have called each day, verifying the address. I have asked for return phone calls so that I could provide explicit directions to my house/driveway (which I thought would have been helpful). I have not received any phone calls to date. Very disappointing, as I really liked the Express-Times (and not the Pocono Record). Cancelled the subscription.

Review: The Express Times is purchased for my elderly grandfather, since prior to 2011 I have paid for his subscription on a monthly basis via a debit to my checking accout. The past 4 months, we were not charged, I contacted Express Times and they thanked me for my honesty. Still no payment was pulled from my account.
A few days ago my mother was helping my grandfather with bills and there were 4 charges from the Express Times on his [redacted] card, 2 for 13.95 and 2 for 14.95, he has not used his [redacted] card for years to pay for this subsription. And he does not use this [redacted] card as my mother takes care of things that he made need. He received a bill from [redacted] with charges and was confused as to what the bills were for.
After contacting a very rude representative at the Express Times [redacted] he would not explain why the old card was used and why they were able to you the [redacted] card that has been inactive to them in years.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund check sent to me on behalf of my grandfather., for the amount of $57.80 so that we can pay his card off.
Or they can refund the money to [redacted]'s [redacted] card - I can provide an address if neccessary to verify that the amount goes back on the card.

Review: The Express-Times continues to throw samples of their newspaper into my driveway and into the driveway of neighbors about 3-4 times a week. I assume this is their way of marketing the newspaper to new customers, but I (we) do not want these free sample newspapers thrown into our driveway. After numerous calls (about 20 times) re. this concern to The Express-Times [redacted], they promise to look into the matter and correct/stop this practice; however, newspapers still keep coming! I've mentioned to the supervisor on each occasion that I called that this is a concern, as when the newspapers pile up in a driveway, that may be a sign to any intruder that the home-owner is away and may invite a home invasion/robbery!Desired Settlement: To stop delivery of the free "Express-Times" papers being thrown into resident(s) driveways, PLEASE.

Review: I have subscribed to The Express Times a few times in the past and always had a problem with delivery. I decided to give them another chance because it was such a good price this time. I have not received my Sunday paper two out of the last three weeks. Two weeks ago when I didn't receive it, I called on Sunday after hours and left a message. When I didn't get a delivery on Monday of my Sunday paper, I called again. They said they didn't hear my message in time to get my paper to me. The manager assured me I would have it on Tuesday. It was delivered to the wrong address on Tuesday, I had to go looking around my nieghborhood to find it accross the street. When I spoke with them on Tuesday they said it was a new employee and he couldn't find my house, so he left it where he thought I lived. My mailbox is white with my name and house number on the side. Very hard to miss.Then later that day I found another newspaper in my driveway. They must have tried to make amends by bringing a second one. I told them if I was missed for delivery one more time I was going to contact the Revdex.com. Today is that one more time.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of my subscription cost $57, and I no longer want the paper delivered.

Review: Our newspaper delivery is awful.I've stopped calling when we don't get it,because it happens so frequently.When we DO get it,it's around 8 a.m..We're supposed to get it at least 2 hours earlier.I get the same canned message when I complain.The real kicker is switching papers won't matter.It's the same delivery company.I feel i'm being ripped off.They won't even bring a paper out.Desired Settlement: We want our paper on time...EVERY DAY!!!!

Review: my husband and I have always received the newspaper but we stopped it for a short time. Then I saw a promotion in their newspaper to subscribe pay $100.00 and will receive a $25.00 gift card. Different choices were given and we chose a [redacted] food store. This was back in march or april of 2013. I called in august and spoke to someone in customer service or circulation and said she will resubmit my name and will take another 6 or 8 weeks. I didn't receive anything by september16 so I called again. I spoke to a gentleman that said they were overwhelmed with the response and I should get it this week and possibly that day. It is now sept. 20th and still not received this gift card. I feel I got scammed and lied to. Both times I asked for the manager and neither time did I get to speak to him. Desired settlement: I would like what they said in their promo I would get. A $25.00 gift card from [redacted] supermarket. I'm planning on giving it as a donation for the tricky tray at church which is sept. 28, 2013.

Review: I prepaid for The Express Times newspaper for one year. In the last two weeks I have not received a paper 9 (nine) days. I called customer service on each of those nine days, spoke to various reps and 2 managers. They are all sorry and promise to find a solution. They have our money and we have no paper.Desired Settlement: I want my paper delivered EVERY day before 7:00 as they promised.
