Re: [redacted] I do not agree with the customer's statement. I do not feel we damage his wheels. The Customer addressed two problems one we did not put on the correct tires and one his wheels were damaged. I would like to a take them one at a time. When the customer first came in he asked for a price on p235/65/16 tires I showed him A tire in the showroom and gave him a price. The tires were the Yokohama Geolanders' H/T. He gave us the go ahead to install the tires. When we pulled the vehicle around to perform the installation it was noticed he had seventeen inch tires on the vehicle not the sixteen inch he had requested. I was also noted he had two different size tires on the vehicle. The customer was taken out in the shop and shown the problem. The customer stated at this time he had not had the car long and was not aware that he had two different sizes on the car. We checked the vehicle and got the right size tire the correct size was a P235/60/17. At that time I informed the customer we would install the correct size tires and I would do it for the same price. The seventeen inch tires are usually more expensive . The next day the customer returned and stated we had not put on the tires we had talked about. I feel the confusion came in the fact that he had asked for the wrong size. I felted I had explained this To the customer when I showed him the two different sized tires on his vehicle ,and he had seventeen tires not sixteen inch he had asked for. The Geolanders' are not made in the size he needed enclosed is a copy of Yokohama product guide so you can see this. He was not happy with the tires we put on so I ordered four more tires and installed them. Enclosed is a copy of the invoice where I purchased the tires I made only $ 19.75 per tire. They were not cheaper tires as he stated.
On the issue of the damaged wheels I do not feel we damaged them. When we were mounting the tires We noticed I bad place on the inside of one of the wheels. The customer was bought out in the shop and shown the damage. This damage was on the inside on the wheel . The wheel was missing a one inch piece where the bead seats. Several days after we had mounted the tires The customer came back and stated we had damaged the face of two his wheels. He showed me some marks on the face of thewheels. Our shop uses the Cemb 915 TI maxi tire machines to install our tires. You can go to Youtube and watch the machines install a tire and see no part of the machine touches the face of the wheel. We use this type of machines to avoid any problems with damage . After several more days the customer returned and stated all four wheels had been damage. I reminded him of the damage to the one wheel with the piece missing on the inside and he wants us to replace that wheel also. I feel the customer is wrong. I want the customer to be happy but feel he is being unreasonable. He brought in a car with two different size tires, one with a piece missing and one which had no tire sensor and wants it to like new. Thank you for your help in this matter.
Thank you
