Review: On Saturday, January 10th I had an appointment with this salon, and after reading excellent reviews I felt confident I was going to be taken care of well. I knew the stylist, I had gone to school with her and she had just gotten her license but I assumed she knew what she was doing. I was wrong. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. A warm brown base color, with hints of auburn and copper undertones about half way down the shaft of my hair to make an 'ombre'. After being very specific that I wanted nothing but the warm brown base at my roots since I was trying to grow out my hair for my wedding in September, I got the exact opposite. The stylist, [redacted], gave me a DARK brown, almost Jet Black base color, with over processed, poorly done PLATINUM chunks, and Fire Engine Red striped highlights at the top and underneath. Nothing even close to what I wanted. After I told her I wasn't happy, she attempted to cover the fire engine red with the same base color, which at that point made it look jet black. I paid this salon $160 for that. The next morning (Sunday) I was so upset and devastated I went to another salon I knew I trusted to have it fixed. The stylist there informed me that the foils were extremely poorly done and my ends were fried, therefore I had to cut 3 inches off after I worked so hard to grow it out. Another $160 later I was lightened and cut back to semi-normal color but the stylist could not believe how poorly my hair was done, even the trim was not completed. Maybe had the stylist there not been in such a rush to get out of there at least that would have been done properly. The colors were clearly mixed wrong and no one really seemed to care. I have now attempted to contact the salon owner who said she would look into it and after a second attempt I still have not heard anything back. I unfortunately do not have pictures of what it turned out as because I was so horrified with it, but I have offered to let them speak to the stylist to saved it at the other salon.Desired Settlement: I have asked for a refund, since I am now out another $160 to have it fixed to a semi-normal color and cut. I paid cash, so I'd like a check mailed to me.
