Extended Stay America

This particular hotel is extremely dirty. Our first room had trash piled up under the bed and inside the drawers and cabinets. My wife had a used drug needle fall on top of her head when she put a box on top of the cupboard. Luckily, the box had jammed the needle into the sidewall first and broke the needle off before making contact. Additionally, cigarette smoke along with other disgusting smells was permanently present in the room. The first room was also infested with cockroaches. Many cockroaches. They finally changed our room to a much filthier room. There was dried blood all over the bathroom light switch, walls, sink, and mirror. Cigarette smoke and other awful smells along with cockroaches infested the room. Additionally, the refrigerator was covered in mold and the stove did not work. Our third room was a little better on the cigarette smell however it was still present. Cob webs were in every corner of the room like it hasn't been cleaned in such a long time however, it was cleaner than the previous rooms we experienced. Throughout our stay, my wife and I had to deal with drunk and disorderly people outside our room, almost nightly. They advertise certain amenities like phone service however, none of our rooms had working phones. Many light switches and wall outlets did not work. To top it all off, the rude receptionist denied our service dog papers and forced us to pay a pet fee. When my wife tried to fight this policy, the receptionist criticized my marriage and said "maybe you should work on your communication skills with your husband." This hotel is way overpriced for such horrible service. With all of the scandalous activity, my wife was afraid to stay at this hotel while I went to work.
