Jan 03, 2017. I had decided to buy some graded 2017 Silver Eagles, a box of 20. The credit card price was $699, the check price was $679. The one page there explains that 10% would be initially placed on your credit card to hold your order. I gave all my CC info. When I clicked on 'submit order' button , the entire $699 was placed on the card as a CC purchase. I immediately called and talked to them about what had happened. They could not delete the or change the order. I was told there must be some kind of 'glitch' in the system . I will call them again.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not...

resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]I paid for 34 coins. I only received 20. My wife was present during all the transactions. I can't see how a partial  box showed up . If damaged none would of showed. UPS informed me that it is prohibited to ship coins through their company and once the shipping label from the shipper is placed on the package it can not be removed or re copied. I believe that 20 coins were shipped and 14 were on back order. Paper work inside of box showed Sandy to cover gold. Back Order was stamped on top of invoice. I paid $100. to cover shipping. Why do business carry insurance? This money was left to me when dad passed and I wanted to invest in something to earn a profit. First time buying such things and I won't trust these kind of businesses again. I am asking for a cashier's check of what I lost.

We received your letter indicating that our customer, James Eskew had flied a complaint with your office. Below and attached are the details surrounding the transaction that Mr. Eskew entered into with Silvertowne.
On February 14, 2014, James Eskew completed a cash sale, in person, with Silvertowne in the amount of $90,266.95. Mr. Eskew was informed that we did not currently have two Items in stock (34-1oz Gold American Eagle's and 1 —14KT1 gram rope bezel). Mr. Eskew requested that we ship those items to him once we received them. Mr. Eskew then took possession of the remaining items from his order (these items are referenced on the attached invoice 111465830•iN for the amount of $40,414.90).
On February 26, 2014, we received and subsequently shipped the 34 — Gold American Eagles to Mr. Eskew. Per our requirements with UPS for shipping packages valued at more than $5,000, these were shipped in,a UPS Small Security box (6-1/2" x 9" x 3° plain brown box), with brown kraft paper packaging tape (we actually ship all of our packages, regardless of value, In this same manner of packaging). I have enclosed a copy of the Sales Order 11542302, which was enclosed in the package that was shipped to Mr. Eskew. This paperwork was Initialed by Us Johnting (U), one opiur Fulfillment employees, acknowledging that we were shipping all 34 of the Gold American Eagles. The paperwork was initialed again by Cindy Peed (CP), one of our packagers, acknowledging that 34 Gold American eagles were being shipped in the package. You'll notice the 24 item on the order (14 KT 1 gram bezel) was out-of-stock at the time we shipped the Gold Eagles, so the sales order was noted that this item was Backordered.
On March 17w, we received a call from Mr. Eskew inquiring about the items that were backordered. We informed Mr. Eskew that the bezel was still on backorder from our supplier, and did not have an estimated shipment date at that time. Mr. Eskew continued saying that he only received 14 of the Gold Eagles, and wondered when the rest would be shipped. lane Simmons, our Returns Manager, informed Mr. Eskew that our records indicate that all 34 of the Gold Eagles were shipped to him. Mr. Eskew Insisted that ha did not receive them all, so Jane Informed him that she would discuss the matter me, her supervisor, and would cell him back.
We began an Investigation to determine the weight of the package that shipped, and to confirm who signed for receipt of Mr. Eskew's package. We reviewed the UPS Proof of Delivery (copy attached) and determined that Mr. Eskew signed for receipt of the package on February 28, 2014. The Proof of Delivery also shows that UPS confirmed the weight of the package was 3.1Ibs. Since Gold American Eagles are one (1) Troy ounce (1.09714 US ounces)each, we determined that 34 of them should have weighed approximately 2.51bs. Packaging normally adds about another half-pound. Had the package only contained 14 Gold Eagles, it would have weighed one to one and a half pounds.
After confirmingthese details, Jane called Mr. Eskew back and Informed him that everything on our end confirmed that we shipped him all 34 Gold Eagles. She explained the weights to Mr. Eskew, and informed him that these would have come in two tubes, one containing 20 Gold Eagles and one containing 14 Gold Eagles. Mr. Eskew then Informed Jane that he received 20 Gold Eagles, and was really only missing 14 Gold Eagles. Jane asked Mr. Eskew if the package had been tampered with and Mr. Eskew said that It did not appear to have been tampered with, but that the box was about 12" x 15" x 3", wrapped in red and white tape. Jane informed Mr. Eskew that we would need to file a claim with UPS, and that they would likely need to view the box that the product was shipped in. Mr. Eskew informed Jane that he no longer had the box, as he had discarded it after opening the package. Jane sent Mr. Eskew a "Parcel Insurance Claim Form" and asked that he complete It, sign it and return It to her so we could begin a formal investigation with UPS. I have attached a copy of Invoice #1471431-IN, which contains the notes Jane took during each of the conversations she had with Mr. Eskew.
We received the completed form back from Mr. Eskew on March 19, 2014. After reviewing the details, I called Mr. Eskew to discuss the situation and to determine our next steps. During this conversation, Mr. Eskew informed me that he did not keep the package, as he believed that the other 14 Gold Eagles were on backorder. I explained to Mr. Eskew that the Sales Order that he received clearly noted that all 34 Gold Eagles were shipped and that the gold bezel was the only item marked "8/0", or backordered. I also discussed the package weight with Mr. Eskew, and he agreed that the 34 Gold Eagles should have weighed around albs with packaging. He said that the package he received said that the weight was 2lbs. He then told me that the package appeared to have been re-wrapped, as it was taped up with red and white tape. I have included a copy of the UPS label that was attached to Mr. Eskew's package (which rounds the weight up to the next pound), along with the package details, Indicating the exact weight of the package that was shipped to Mr. Eskew.
We contacted UPS so that they could begin their formal investigation. It Is our understanding that UPS contacted Mr. Eskew to discuss the matter, requesting to review the original packaging for any signs of tampering. On March 28, 2014, we received notice from UPS that they had denied the claim. I have included a copy of the notification we received back from UPS regarding Mr. Eskew's claim.
I  called Mr. Eskew on March 28, 2014, to inform him that UPS had denied the claim, and that there was nothing further we could to for him. Mr. Eskew informed me that he had a similar problem with another dealer a while back and that he had contacted the Attorney General's office who sided with
him. I told Mr. Eskew that if he felt inclined to file a claim with the Attorney General's office that we would happily cooperate and would provide you with all of the details needed to review his case.
Our position remains that we have significant documentation, both internally and confirmed by UPS, that we shipped Mr. Eskew all 34 Gold Eagles that he purchased from us. We have since fulfilled the backorder for the gold bezel, and believe that our obligation to Mr. Eskew has been fulfilled.
We welcome any other questions you might have, and will do our best to provide you any additional required information as quickly as possible.
Respectfully,
Jamie Meadows

What the customer failed to mention is it is also posted very visibly on our website that due to high demand silver orders will be delayed shipments. The order was shipped on 9/18 through USPS on 9/23.Thank youCindy [redacted]

Excellent workmanship and superb customer service. Tom did an amazing job to install and finish our hardwood flooring, and worked with us closely through the entire process.

We are very pleased with the entire experience, and would highly recommend his business to anyone.

Mr [redacted] ordered a 5 oz silver bar from us and it was...

shipped to him. However it was lost in transit and instead of contacting Silver Towne first — he called his cc and told them to take the charge off because he had not received his merchandise. After they took the charge off — he called ST and was sent a replacement order which he received. He did call and said he received it and he needed to pay for it. It was explained more than once that I was not responsible for calling his cc company to have them put the charge back on — he was the responsible one since it started it to begin with.
A ridiculous amount of emails have been received from this man describing our business and our
employees an being basically very ignorant in handling this type of situation. I finally credited his card instead of waiting for his cc company.
I sent him an email and let him know he had his credit and since he obviously did not approve of our way of doing business and that we are all inept at our jobs and since he had turned us into the cc company and to Revdex.com that it would be in both of our best interest for him to shop elsewhere.
One more email from him stated that not doing business with him any longer was "kind of unnecessary". Also since we gave him credit he would contact Revdex.com and tell them it was all okay now as he stated it.
We believe this customer is a chronic complainer. Even after getting his credit from us and I'm sure the cc company probably gave it back to him too he still emailed with more complaints about us.
Thank you
[redacted] Silver Towne L.P.
