We have been banking at Extraco for over years They are always friendly and helpful! Having been there as long as we have, they are now very familiar with our personal and business accounts and anticipate our needs I am extremely pleased with Extraco and am thankful to be able to bank with them!

Extraco took a risk to finance our first investment years ago Because of this risk, we have secured our retirement and nearly paid off our home The day of our most recent closing/purchase, Greg, the president of our branch, phoned me personally to insure that I authorized a large transfer for this transaction Who does this anymore? This is superb customer service!! Any time I have requested advice on our next banking choice, the president makes time to sit down with us for an unhurried conversation
When I need to make a transfer by phone, Jo or Jose are eager and efficient
When the bank needs docs from either our accountant or insurance agent, I simply connect them via email and the bank takes care of everything for me
I have referred several friends and family, including an international non-profit to Extraco, who now hold accounts at the Georgetown branch, and are pleased with their service as well
I could not be more pleased or more grateful

If you plan on travelling out of the country don't expect to use your Extraco Bank issued Discover debit card!
I have enough issues trying to use it locally in the Killeen, FtHood, Harker Heights areas
I traveled to Monterrey, Mexico this week, and after verifying with the bank that the card would work, I found that it wouldn't The hotel refused to take it (fortunately the hotel had been pre-paid), the local businesses refused to take it and the ATM machines refused it
This caused major problems on the trip, not to mentioned embarrassment, when I had to borrow cash from a business associate in order to have sufficient funds to cover my expenses
I called the customer service line and also chatted online with a customer serves representative who claimed to be a manager, but was of no help and who obviously did not care one bit about my problem
As soon as I am able to do so, I'm closing my account with Extraco Bank

I have been a customer of Extraco for decades and have had very few issuesI have multiple accounts and have had several kinds of loansOn the rare occasion when I did have a problem the staff quickly resolved the issueVery friendly, professional folks

Mobile banking thru Extraco is very helpful

I presented a notarized copy of durable power of attorney for my fathers account twice to the bank The document states that I exercise all powers with respect to financial institution I requested access to E Banking and was given a login and password that did not work I was told later that I could not access E Banking and could not request a replacement Debit card for his account I asked to speak to branch manger and was told they were not available to speak to me I asked for corporate number to file complaint and was told that all business was conducted only in that branch

On 1/30/at 12:pm at the ATM on *** *** *** *** *** ** *** I deposited a check into this machine and the machine cancelled the transaction and keeping the checkI immediately called the call center while sitting in front of this ATM and was on the phone with them for to minutesSo there is video surveillance to provide I was there and put a check into this machineI also have the receipt that the ATM gave me but this bank still is trying to tell me there is no check and will not fix this issueThey are telling that I have to contact the person I got the check from and have them put a stop payment on the check and issue anotherWhich costs money that I think they should pay because of there mistakeThus is not the first time we have has issues with this bankThey denied giving my husband another debitThe banks reason was they did not have time to mess with thatThis was on several different occasions

I am shocked at the number of negative reviews Extraco received here on the Revdex.com websiteBased on the grammar in most of the reviews, it's quite evident what level of knowledge the complainer has about their own bank account...I've had nothing but great service from all of my business and personal dealings with Extraco at several branchesI read the fine print of my accounts WHEN I OPENED THEM, so I know what to expect--unlike the other reviewers who obviously didn't read anything, expect everyone else to cover for their mistakes, and they experienced problemsNot a surpriseDon't blame Extraco for your unwillingness to read how your account works and follow the rules put in place to protect you as a customerProcedures are there for your securityThey're a locally-owned bank with a long history of helping in their communities--donating $$$ each year to better the lives of othersI appreciate that in a bank, unlike the "big box" banks that don't do much in a community except charge fees and not answer phone callsExtraco does a fine job of providing excellent bank products and folks to help you when you need itBefore you bash them on a website, walk into a branch and ask to speak to someone who help you solve your problemIf you can't do that, take your banking business to a big box bank and let me know how that works for youIt takes no talent to complain

Horrible customer service you cannot call your local branch for anything all numbers take you online customer serviceI had a account which was charged off becuase I had overdraft protection on my account so I wouldn’t go overdraft but what I found out is if you have a auto charge and they try and take money even tho you don’t have it in the account and have overdraft protection so you don’t go overdraft the company still charges you a return fee charge no matter what the come tried to charge me times and didn’t get paid but I was charged (5) return fee charges and now my account is charged offI had deposits go in the account and paid the fees but now I’m order to get my money I have to drive to mins to another town so a different branch can give me my refund I can’t go to the branch that is mins away becuase they don’t handle this issue or I wave to wait 3-days for a check and the weekends are not included in this wait time so I wouldn’t get my money back that was deposited on 8/till 8/by waiting on a checkthis place is a rip off and nobody sees the frustration I have just been told theses are your only options that’s it

Average waiting time in line is minutes for the fort hood street brancj in killeen today literally I waited for minutes and only two cars in front of me at drive through I have a commercial account and I have been going through this every single day I've been thinking about changing my bankOnce in a week I get lucky and get done in minutes

I am extremely frustrated with Extraco banks The change to discover debit cards is a disaster, the handling of deposits and putting excessive holds on them is frustrating I am tired of having to update my online payments due to their so called data breaches I recently traveled miles from home and received no fraud alerts, but when I use my debit card a block from my house they turn my card off for a fraud alert Their customer care is deplorableRude and condescending We will be moving all of our accounts I thought because it was a local/ regional bank that we would get great customer service and have received worse service than from the big national banks

I recently opened an account with the financial institution I was amazed with the exceptional customer service and professionalism of the Senior Relationship Banker that I worked with Every business in this city need to take lessons from this bank, especially the Sr Relationship Banker Nothing but Gold Stars! I have informed my wife to move her business account to this bank Exceptional!!!

I will never bank with extraco again! They are only about the money and not about the customers at all! They Screwed up and didn't even own the mistake and now i'm out of money due to Extraco taking out feesI have banked with Extraco for yearsI had all of my direct deposits from my job going to themI had lost my job and at the beginning of the year and had to change my acct to an acct that would charge me maintenance feesWith that there were only a set amount of transactions I could do before I would be charged feesWell once I started working again I went into the Harker Heights Extraco branch to get forms to set up my direct deposit with my new job and to change my acct back to bonus bankingThe woman that assisted me stated that she will take care of everything I needed doneI stood there as she typed and then she gave me my voided check and told me I was all taken care of.I walked out under the pretenses that my acct was changedI set my direct deposit and started trying to pay my billsOne of my family members was set to have surgery today and I'm in charge of paying the co-payI went to check my acct and saw that fee were taken out timesWhen I called to talk to a banker about this she said that she would have to email the manager to look into itI stressed to her my situation and the urgency of me needing my money backLong story short I spoke to the Harker Heights manager and she displayed no compassion or understanding whats so everI was basically told sorry for you luck and I didn't receive my money back for the fees all because the banker that had helped me failed to have me sign a paperMy family member who is very bad shape is paying the price of all of this!! I never would've thought a bank could be so evil and heartless!! If I were anyone I wouldn't bank with them at all! It will be only a matter of time before this happens to you!
