Late last year (September 2015) we bought a 2010 chevy equinox from Extreme Auto, it had high miles and it did kind of scare us we talked to Terry about the price, we were genuinely interested but wanted to think it over, as we were walking out he said what would it take to get you in this equinox today? we stated we were worried about the transmission because of the high mileage, he grabbed a green brochure and put it on the table said this 12 month 12000 mile warranty ( as it says on the cover of the brochure) will cover transmission and major mechanical issues.... we based purchasing this vehicle off of what he just told us without reading the brochure (our mistake) agreed to purchase the vehicle and got it the next day. We recommended this business said they were friendly, kind, and caring of your needs. Worked fine no issues until March of 2016 then we noticed some fluid on the cement in the garage where we park it, took it to the local garage and they found the transmission was cracked and the seals were leaking, we called the number on the brochure and they told us the dealership should have filled out paperwork when we bought the equinox and that they were not a warranty institution but more of a guarantee of proper service.... we called extreme auto and the manager told us there was no way we bought that vehicle from then and ended the call, a few hours later he called back said sorry for the mistake we did indeed purchase the vehicle from then and they would hook us up with a loaner car and get the transmission fixed. The next day they call and tell us they are unwilling to replace the transmission. We called back as that message was left on out phone and they keep giving us the run around about calling later or call the next day. We never asked them to repair it we just wanted to know why we were mislead into thinking we had a one year warranty when in fact that brochure is totally useless for anything. When I called I talked to Terry he said my wife must just not be remembering right and that she must be l lying, I then said I was there and I also remember him saying this, he paused for a few seconds then claimed I to must be lying to, I told him I was going to call the owner who I knew when I was younger, and Terry got hostile and sarcastic talking to me so I hung up on him. Why would we have this useless brochure if he hadn't told us something about it? If he didnt know what it actually was then he just should have never taken it out and gave it to us, we based our purchase on his word that this was a warranty. I no longer trust this dealership and currently have the transmission being replaced by someone reputable I will no longer allow them to touch a vehicle that my kids will be passengers in, when I do calm down I WILL get a hold of the owner he is a very good honest and kind person, Terry is completely unprofessional calling customers liars. The manager who knows he says he will honor a repair then calls and tells us no way. I have never written a review or reported a business for anything but these two guys are completely ridiculous.

Review: Bought a 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade from Extreme Auto Sales, as soon as we got it home the heat did not work. Called the dealership, they came and got the jeep to replace the thermostat. After we got it back the heat worked but not very well. Shortly afterwards the drivers side front wheel fell off while driving. Called the dealership again, they said that someone must have come to our home and loosened the lug nuts causing the wheel to fall off, and that we couldn't prove otherwise. Shortly after that the CV joint on the driveshaft to the rear of the transfer case went out. At the same time the parking brakes broke in the rear shoes destroying the rear discs and internal brake parts. Both of which I repaired out of pocket. The jeep then went to a service shop to get the heat looked at again, where it was found that there was an improper repair done, leaving air in the cooling system. It was fixed and we started to drive it again for about 2 weeks. And finally on 1/16/2015 there is now coolant in the engine oil which is most likely a head gasket issue and will be very expensive to repair. I personally cannot believe how much has gone wrong with this vehicle already, and coming from a dealership that should have inspected the vehicle before sale.Desired Settlement: I would like for the dealership(Extreme Auto Sales) to either replace this vehicle with one comparable, or refund the amount of sale plus cost of repairs.
