We were hired by *** repair a part of retaining wall in the front of her unitWe have cut out the damaged bricks on the wall and replaced them solid common bricks from the same building in hopes to match the bricks identicallyWe
received a complaint from her for reusing good condition common brick and she requested a refund of $for the brick, which we honoredThen she called and explained that she doesn't like how the brick turned outEven though the job met all masonry standards we have tried to please the customer and send out a crew again to the job side to redo the part of the wall we worked onThey retuckpointed the wall and acid washed the areaAfter which *** inspected the job and was pleased and issued us a check for $after $discount of the original estimateThe next day we received a phone call again from *** stating that she hates the job and wants to redo it for the third time, which we declinedWe have already spent days at the job with our crew and issued a discountThe issue we believe is *** wants the part of the wall we did tuck pointing on, *** wants mortar joints to look exactly the same as the remaining part of the wall were tuck pointing was done a number of years agoOld joints are washed out and uneven in joint designIf that is the issue then the remaining part of the wall will need to be tuck pointed as wellBut that work was never estimated in the original quote we providedWe tried our best to explain and please this customer, but it seems impossible at this point

complaint from her for reusing good condition common brick and she requested a refund of $50 for the brick, which we honored. Then she called and explained that she doesn't like how the brick turned out. Even though the job met all masonry standards we have tried to please the customer and send out a crew again to the job side to redo the part of the wall we worked on. They retuckpointed the wall and acid washed the area. After which [redacted] inspected the job and was pleased and issued us a check for $800 after $50 discount of the original estimate. The next day we received a phone call again from [redacted] stating that she hates the job and wants to redo it for the third time, which we declined. We have already spent 2 days at the job with our crew and issued a discount. The issue we believe is [redacted] wants the part of the wall we did tuck pointing on, [redacted] wants mortar joints to look exactly the same as the remaining part of the wall were tuck pointing was done a number of years ago. Old joints are washed out and uneven in joint design. If that is the issue then the remaining part of the wall will need to be tuck pointed as well. But that work was never estimated in the original quote we provided. We tried our best to explain and please this customer, but it seems impossible at this point.
