Extreme Plumbing

I would stay clear away from this plumbing company. I put in a request via Angie's list and Extreme Plumbing(***) among others called back. *** had the best price($150) for replacing the flushing mechanism for my Whitehause toilet that was leaking and causing excessive water bills over the last 3 months. He began checking things and made some adjustments with the existing, faulty flushing mechanism and said the toilet was now working, but he needed to check the water pressure in the house because excessive pressure would cause the toilet to continue to run due to it putting a lot of water pressure on the flush mechanisms. Well, I has just had the water pressure checked a few days earlier and it was fine at 45, but he came back and said it was almost twice as high at 80. I found this very strange, because a month or so earlier, I had Culligan come out to make sure my R/O system was working properly and not leaking, causing the water increase and they said the pressure was at ~50, which is fine. ***(Extreme Plumbing) said we needed the pressure valve replaced due to the increased pressure and that would be an additional $375(parts and labor). Before I agreed to that, I wanted a fourth opinion at this point. *** stated that if everything checked out fine by this 4th party, he would come back and change out the flushing mechanism as I originally request for the remained of the $150, which I had already given him $125, so that left $25.

A few days later, I had "Cable Pipe and Leak Detection" come out to check the home for water leaks. Jose was the best. He was able to confirm that the pressure valve was fine and I had no leaks in the home or the slab. He did however state that the issue was the toilets flush mechanism. I called Extreme Plumbing to complete the full replacement of the flushing mechanism as he stated he would, but *** has not responded to text messages ot calls. I advised him via text that I will proceed with him refunding my money

In June 2017 I requested a plumber through Home Advisor to as why my master bathroom toilet was backing up, and the shower would not drain. I was linked up with Dan from Extreme Plumbing. He promptly came to my house and attempted to fix the issue with snaking, which did not work. He stated he needed to remove the toilet in order to fix the issue. The cost was $325, which seemed reasonable except he is cash only (because he doesn’t want to pay the fee for credit card use). We got to talking and I told him I just returned from deployment and was in the market to completely renovate my bathroom to include knocking down a wall to expand my bathroom. Dan linked me up with his friend Dave, as they were going to partner on the job. Dan wrote up a contract for 11g, to which I agreed. I have paid him a total of 9g but the project is still not completed. He has asked for more money to buy more product, which I refused to pay the remaining balance until the job is completed. There were days he said he was coming to work on the bathroom but would not even show up. Dave was pretty much the only person working on the job for the last 3 weeks. Monday Dan drove by my house, but once he saw me outside he kept driving. Tuesday Dave came to work on the house, as soon as he left Dan showed up. While no one was home, Dan climbed my brick wall and stole his own tile saw. The guy is completely immature, and a thief! Some issues I have had in the last two months: asking for more money, not adhering to the contract, not completing the work, nickel and diming always saying “that’s extra, that will cost extra”. I paid for the flooring, stain, door, hardware for the door, some of the tile…all of which were in the contract. DO NOT HIRE!!! This guy is a complete scam and not trustworthy!!!
