I am rejecting this response because: 1) The towel hook was not "flung" into the sink. The hook weighs less than 8 oz. and it accidentally fell from approximately 15" above the sink. The force at which it landed in the sink basin was minimal. This was not an extraordinary event and any rational person would expect a sink to be able to withstand minor incidents of this nature. 2) Clay Imports should clearly communicate to their customers that their sinks are for decorative use only. To only get a few months of use from a custom sink is extremely disappointing and other customers should beware that they are purchasing at their own risk when buying from this vendor. The store manager clearly knows the poor quality of the product when they tell the customer, "If you wanted durability, you should have bought a Kohler." I have never submitted a complaint to the Revdex.com, but in this case, I think it is highly warranted and I want other potential clients to be informed of the inferior quality they will receive in this item.

As the customer has described, several months following the installation of the sink and repeated use of the product, a mounted object was accidentally pulled from the wall and flung into the sink. The object, a hook, then damaged the sink. Although Clay Imports offers warranties and refunds for various factory defects, we do not offer warranty for accidental damage to products. Clay Imports makes no claims regarding the durability of our sinks nor advertises any replacement guarantee. We proudly note that our traditionally produced handmade products, do not contain harmful additives and are entirely biodegradable. [redacted]
Clay Imports has sold over 200 handmade, Mexican sinks to residential and commercial customers throughout the United States, over the past year. Our sinks bring joy to those who use them. They introduce color and art to typically sterile areas. It would sadden me for anyone to discourage the use of these artisanal pieces.Clay Imports is a small, family owned business. We are one of the last standing hispanic owned import businesses in Austin. We are not a cooperate, big box store with the budget to refund upon request. Therefore, we provide our customers with clear sales terms and always disclose any and all requested information. Our business practices and customer service have led to a flawless reputation.
