insurance had come out the customer was ready to start the job again. I had jobs that were already scheduled. When I completed the jobs I called the customer and told her I was ready to start on it again. At this time they wanted to meet with me and they had drawn up a new contract. There was added things that were not in the original contract and the customer had set a deadline that could not be met. At that time I told them I could not sign the contract. The customer expressed they did not want me back on the job until I signed the contract. Per [redacted]

Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.The statements made by [redacted] in his rebuttal are untrue and will be proven in a court of law.  We paid him immediately after the plumbing company from insurance surveyed the damage.  We told [redacted] that we did not want to wait on insurance and paid him $2,000 so he could get the job done (he originally quoted us $1500 but changed the price when he realized we were not going to let him know what was going on with insurance).   He needed the check immediately so the plumber could come the next day.  The plumber never arrived.  We found out later that the plumber did not arrive because [redacted] never paid him for the work he had already completed.  We have extensive documentation proving that [redacted] did not do what he said he would do - per his contract.  We wrote a new contract that detailed out the work and we went over it with him.  He agreed verbally and via text that he could get the job completed by the new deadline.  We also stated that if problems with the deadline arose, we would be willing to work with him.  [redacted] admitted fault in not completing our kitchen for being "overwhelmed" and "overbooked" yet refused to finish the work.  We have had three separate companies contact us regarding work on home that was contracted by [redacted] and that he did not pay.  All three have threatened to put a lien on our home.
