Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I would like a refund on an exhaust system that I was miss leaded onAdam told my husband that this exhaust would be louder and better than the *** we purchasedHe is supposed to be a professional in this business and should know what he's talking about, not telling his customers to "***" a video and see if it sounds goodComputer speakers are not going to tell me if the exhaust sounds good! I had the exhaust installed on the truck for ONE DAY, and called Adam IMMEDIATELY after installing it to let him know of the problemI am also disappointed in the rude manner that he spoke to my husband- telling him he is sick of dealing with us and we can take the exhaust or leave it there, he doesn't careIn regards to the "cardboard box" that I put it in, it was pouring rain the day I picked the exhaust up from his shop, so it was impossible to save the original card board box that it came inIf EVB does not refund me my money I will have to take further actionAdam has not tried to call us since

To whom it may concern,In response to the complaint we received recently from [redacted], we would like to respond.[redacted] and her husband originally purchased a [redacted] exhust from us 12/19/15 over the counter and brought it home with them to install it themselves....

After installing the exhaust, they returned to us on 1/5/16 (we were closed the week between Christmas and New years) to show us that it did not fit correctly. We inspected the truck at no charge and agreed with them. The [redacted] removed the exhaust at their house and returned it to us. We immediately credited them back in full (even before knowing if we would in fact be able to return it with it being installed and driven on and the original box not included). At this time [redacted] asked for my opinion on picking a new exhaust to which he was suggested to go with a [redacted] dual exhaust. [redacted] asked how it sounded and how loud it was and he was told to go home and "[redacted]" or "[redacted]" it so he could hear for himself as we do not have speakers on our point of sale computers. [redacted] returned on 2/18/16 and ordered the [redacted] exhaust we had spoken about. At this point, we applied a full credit in the amount of $550 to his account for his first exhaust (even though we had not yet gotten word on if credit would be issues to us) and then charged him $199.99 +tx to cover the difference in cost for his new [redacted] exhaust.  Roughly 1-2 weeks later [redacted] came into the store and stated he had installed the exhaust himself and although it fit properly and looked great, he was not happy with the sound, as it was not "loud enough" for him. I told him we could not take the exhaust back as it had been installed and driven with and he once again did not have the original packaging, but in an effort to make him happy we could possibly remove one of the factory resonators to gain some more volume from the exhaust. He did not feel this would make it loud enough (he wanted it to be obnoxiously loud), and stated he would like to return the exhaust.  I once again told him we could not accept it as a return as there was nothing wrong with it, and it was not resalable. Mr [redacted] left, and returned within a few days with the exhaust in a cardboard box. Even though I had already informed him that it was not returnable, he insisted on leaving it with us to see what we could do for him. After speaking with the manufacturer as well as their distributor, neither party was willing to take it back as a return since it had been installed and there were no issues or defects with the item. [redacted] came back into the store about a week later and I informed him that there was nothing we could do for him and as clearly stated on his receipt, in our emails, and in our store on the wall, the item was not returnable for several reasons. I asked him to take the exhaust with him, but he refused, stating he did not want it. The exhaust is sitting here in the box he returned it in, and as you can see by the pictures it is clearly not resalable. Although we would like to make all of our customers 100% happy, we have store policies in place for a reason, and we can not be held responsible for subjective items such as sound; the customer was asked to, and is expected to, put in their due diligence and research BEFORE deciding to purchase a product.
