office visits and feel that the scheduled appointment for a follow-up visit for the Fresnel lens evaluation was instead utilized to correct the bifocal component of the prescription. Since the prescription was incorrect for the bifocal component the patient should not have been charged for the office visit to have the changes made. I would like to apologize to the patient for our lack of communication and inconvenience we have caused him. I have taken steps to correct this with our staff so this does not happen again to other patients. We will be issuing a check in the amount of $89.67 to the patient.
