I am rejecting this response because:
My complaint about Eye Candy Painting is that ***, the
owner, took painting materials, paint products, and removed valuable hardware
from our house refused to bring them back, replace them, or pay for them so we
can replace themFirst, we discovered a case of caulk was missing from our
house, and then we discovered primer and paint was missing, and lastly we
discovered hardware original to our house was missingWhen we became
certain that *** was taking our materials and hardware, we confronted himAt
first, *** agreed to retune the products and the items he tookHis response
was, “OK.” Please see a snippet of text exchange attached (image_1)Since we could no
longer trust ***, we took our house key from him, and we fired himThe following
conversation with ***, he became belligerent and decided not to retune items
he took from our house
In his response, *** jabbers about “hourly rate, refusal
of contract, troublesome start, and cleaning up my mess.” One would wonder why
he took the job anyways since, as he stated, he was working by the hourBut I
think ***’s jabber is nothing but a useless attempt to take the focus off my complaint,
which remains that he took our products and original hardware for no reason
whatsoever but for his own personal gainIn his own response, *** admitted, though not to all that
he took, that he did take our products, and he stated, “I replied that I
hadn't stole anything from his house, but a few tubes of caulking were with me.”
The question that should be asked is why would *** remove any products from
our house? The “few” tubes of caulking do not belong to him or his other
customersFurthermore, I assert that *** took a full case of caulking and
not just a few
When *** claimed that the original hardware pieces
were at the house, we did allow him, though with supervision, to come back and
look for themHe came in and pretended to be looking and said that he couldn’t
find themIt was a pathetic act at best
Finally, *** included a photograph of a check dated
4/9/2015, yet on 4/10/2015, a day after he supposedly sent the check, ***
replied to my text and asked me for an “invoice and proof of purchase” for our
hardwareThe question here is why would someone write a check on 4/9/
and a day later, on 4/10/15, asks for an invoice? Please see attached (image_2) snippet
of text exchange with 4/10/dateIn addition, a photograph of a check doesn’t
prove that a check has been mailed or cashed, but it is another attempt to
distort the truth

WowI guess now I've stolen caulking, paint, primer, halves of hinges, and a strike plateThis was not mentioned in the first complaintI guess you can just make up whatever you want and submit it to this websiteAlso, who is "We"? I've never dealt with anyone but *** Anyway, as I said before, nothing was stolen from his houseI have canceled my check, and sent a certified cashiers check to *** (see attached)This check is ONLY to appease ***, stop his constant harassment, and to move forward. The amount is more than he originally asked forI still have never received a receipt for the products he lost and supposedly had to replace. In his last statement he claims missing materialThere were tubes of caulking mistakenly picked up, and brought back immediatelyThat was it! This was not a theft, just a simple $mistake that was immediately rectifiedYet, this was his ground to accuse me of stealing multiple other thingsYou should not be able to make up lies and losses at other peoples expense. I am rejecting this response because:Contrary to Mr. [redacted]’s statement, I have asserted from thebeginning that products and hardware went missing during the time Eye CandyPainting’s, Jason [redacted], was in possession of our house key, and I quote from thecomplaint: “I discovered that my products were going messing. I also discoveredthat my hardware where going missing as well.”In Mr. [redacted]’s recent response, he stated that, “3 tubes ofcaulking mistakenly picked up, and brought back immediately.” And in his own wordsin his previous response he stated, “…I hadn't stole anything from his house, but a few tubes of caulking were with me.” And then he also stated, “This wasnot a theft.”I am not disputing the definition of “theft” with Mr. [redacted];the facts remain as follows: he has admitted to taking my products, in both of hisresponses, and sugar-coating his actions do not make his behavior righteous oracceptable. Mr. [redacted]’s statement of having brought back my products immediatelyis nothing but a figment of his imagination. When I asked him to bring back myproducts, 3 weeks after the fact, he simply replied “OK”. If he had broughtback the products immediately, wouldn’t a logical response have been, I had broughtthem back immediately? It is easy to reason, from Mr. [redacted]’s Reply to my text, that one: he did take my products, and two: he did not bring them back. Pleasesee attached. Mr. [redacted]’s rebuttal is like trying to fit a square peg in around hole. If Mr. [redacted] is sincerely sorry for his behavior and for the“horrible experience” I had with him, as he stated, then he should eitherreturn the items in question, or pay back the amount of money it would cost toreplace them.As to Mr. [redacted]’s questioning the legitimacy of the Revdex.comwebsite, I will refrain from commenting, as I’m not in a position to speak onbehave of the Revdex.com, and I respectfully hope that the administrator(s) will respondto his irrational suggestions.    Finally, I have paid Mr. [redacted] $3825.38 to paint a livingroom, a kitchen, and a bathroom in a half of a million dollar home. One could findit hard to believe that I would use the Revdex.com to, “lie and profit,” as hestated. Below is an itemized list of items went missing while EyeCandy Painting’s, Jason [redacted], was in possession of our house key:  Alex Plus 10.1 oz. Review: I Hired [redacted], owner of Eye Candy Painting, to paint the a few rooms, and the exterior of my house. Our agreement was that I provided material and he did the painting. Half way through painting the interior portion of the job, I discovered that my products were going missing. I also discovered that my hardware where going missing as well. I ask [redacted] about my missing material and hardware, and he told me that he mistakenly took them to another job, and that he will return them as soon as possible, but he never did. I asked [redacted] numerous times to return my products and my hardware but he made excuses. At one point he offered to pay for the missing material and hardware, but he later changed his mind. I let him go and hired another painter to finish the work.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to replace the material and the hardware he took form my house.

Response:

To whom it may concern, I was hired at an hourly rate to paint 3 interior areas at [redacted]'s rental house. He refused my contract and wanted to go with an hourly rate so he could let me go anytime he wanted. Also, if I did not like the way he was handling the time frame of his remodel, I would be able to drop off the job. From the very start of our agreement I could see there was going to be trouble. None of the work he promised that would be done prior to my start date was completed. After cleaning up all his mess, I prepped and painted the areas. The next day I returned to find all my paint sanded off. I again cleaned his mess, prepped, and painted the areas again. At this point he asked that I leave my key so the cabinet installers could complete their work. The next day [redacted] called me and said that the cabinets were not coming until the next week. Sometime after that he asked me how many things I had stole from his house. He said he was missing 2 halves of door hinges and 1 door strike plate. I replied that I hadn't stole anything from his house, but a few tubes of caulking were with me. I returned the caulking tubes ASAP. As far as the hinges and strike plate went, I had no idea. I told him they were probably with all his other hardware in the back room. THIS HOUSE WAS IN COMPLETE DISARRAY! We then talked about finishing the job when the cabinets went in. I still do not know if they have ever been installed. I heard from [redacted] a couple weeks after that asking me to pay $68.00 for the lost hinges. I told him to clean up his mess and I'm sure he would find them. After several calls and text threats over this matter, I asked for him to just send me a receipt for the hinges and I would send him a check. He told me he would never send me one and to "GO [redacted] MYSELF!" After weeks of threats I decided to file a harassment and slander case against him. I also sent him a check over 3 weeks ago for $100.00 to get him off my back. I believe he is holding on to it for some reason. I will be canceling that check by the end of the week, and sending him a certified money order. Attached is the image of the check. Thank you for your time,[redacted]
