Thank you for bringing this to our attention, as I was expecting a letter from Revdex.com concerning this patient.He did buy a second pair of glasses in August of 2017 of which he was discounted 50% off his frames(not sure why) which brought the cost of his frames to $284.50 from $569. He called in...

December andstated that he broke his glasses. Our policy is that if the glasses are broken because of manufacturersdefect, we will send it to the manufacturer and if they decide it's because of a defect they will replacethem as a courtesy to our patient. We agreed to replace these frames for this patient without sendingthem to the manufacturer to be inspected so that we can accommodate him quickly. Sending them tothe manufacturer takes weeks or months for the issue to be resolved. I noticed the tray with the newframes and inquired about the order. My staff notified me that they are waiting for this patient to get intouch with our office and come and pick them up. I looked in his Ledger and realized that he hasn't paidin full and still had a balance of 3370.00, half of his invoice (which we sometimes offer as a courtesy tosome patients). He paid half when he ordered them and wanted to pay the other half when he picks uphis frames back in August and he did not. l checked into the credit card charges and our invoices in casethere was a mistake on our part and it wasn't. He did not pay in full for his glasses and lenses anddespite us notifying him a couple of times on this oversight he didn't call back to make his payment. Hefirst insisted that he had paid, after we told him we have no evidence of his payment even with our CCinvoice (which is saved in the machine for months), we asked him to show us his credit card invoice thatin fact he paid. He never did. My staff was in constant communication with him. He then called a coupleof Saturdays ago and I picked up the phone. I have a witness (one of my employees) he said that he is onhis way to pick up his glasses (after perhaps 6 weeks of just sitting in our practice). I AGAIN advised himthat he has a balance that he has to pay and he became not only irate but also started cursing on thephone and again said I already paid for it, then I asked for him to bring his credit card invoice, then hesaid he gave his credit card info to Jamal and it's his fault that he didn't run it through and that heshouldn't have to pay for the other half I advised him, that Jamal is nolonger working with us and ldon't know what was said and done. But there is no history of payment and will have not only goneabove and beyond Our duty as an optical and have replaced his expensive glasses that was not brokenbecause a manufacturers defect without charging him nor inconveniencing him to expedite. He thenstarting cursing on the phone and asked him several times to speak normally so that I could understandhim, he kept on cursing and screaming at me. He was extremely rude and disrespectful and just wantedhis way with no justification. Despite his letter no one at this practice told him that his balance will bewaived, there is no reason to waive what he hasn't paid!! That statement is not true. If anything we kepttelling this gentleman that before he can pick up the replaced new glasses HE MILL HAVE To pay hisBALANCE FROM AUGUST 2017.He threatened me that ho will be calling the Revdex.com to complain to about my practice, if I don't waive hisfee. I will not and cannot waive the balance as we have done nothing wrong and have gone above andbeyond for satisfy this patient. I have and will always only practice in a just manner. I will never disrespect nor cheat any of my clients and that Integrity should be returned to us mutually. if this patient cannotsee that my practice has taken care of him justly and honestly it is best for him to find one that will fit hisneeds best.
