Eye Duex inappropriately charged me *** as a no show fee. I attempted to access Eyedeux at my scheduled appointment time of 6:15 on June 1, 2018.. I was unable to access the building as the door was locked. As such, I decided to leave as I felt uncomfortable with the business arrangement. The business contacted me via text message and indicated I would be charged a no-show fee for not coming to my appointment. I reiterated to the business several times that I attempted to come to my appointment at the scheduled time but was unable to do so because the door was locked. The business confirmed that the door was locked and indicated they kept the door locked for safety concerns. I reminded the business that I complied with their cancellation policy and therefore they were not authorized to charge my credit card a no-show fee. Nonetheless my card was charged ***

Billing Adjustment I request that the business return *** to me as I did not violate their no-show policy. As stated above I attempted to access the business at the precise time of my appointment and was unable to do so because the door was locked.
The client appointment was scheduled June 14th, 6:15pm. She called at 6:00pm, I was unable to answer due to another client being serviced at that time. I sent a text in which she replied she could not locate the building, 6:11pm. After the previous client left the studio, I then called, 6:14pm. She replied via text at 6:25pm stating that she did not feel comfortable due to a locked door and will not be keeping her appointment.
All clients are notified to READ the scheduling policy BEFORE scheduling their appointments. This link is written in bold and italics at the top of the scheduling page. The policy states: We respectfully ask that you give EyeDeux a minimum of 24 hours notice if you must cancel an appointment. Text messages are NOT accepted to schedule/cancel/reschedule an appointment. If one does not cancel the appointment in the appropriate time frame, they will be charged 25% of services scheduled.
The client appointment stands as a Last Minute Cancellation. Therefore the card she provided during scheduling was charged *** of the total service. She in fact did not appear for her appointment and she sent a text message, indeed this violates the policy which has been in place for 5 years.
Pertaining to the studio door, yes it remains locked while clients are here because this is a mostly women operated and serviced studio, majority of clients feel comfortable knowing another person is not able to walk into the studio while being serviced. There is an OPEN sign, a doorbell and some people have chosen to knock on the door. Neither of these things were done when the client allegedly came to the door.
