Over the weekend I broke my favorite pair of glassesSince I work in Rockville I decided to stopped in to this office to see if there was anything they could do to fix themI wasn't expecting much because they were snapped right in the middle and were obviously a lost cause if I didn't want to tape em together looking like H [redacted] P*** When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by two very friendly employeesThe two men were so helpful and responsive to my concerns, and the whole vibe of the place was inviting and welcomingI showed them my glasses and they nicely explained they were beyond repair, but asked me to take a seat while they searched through the store to find a similar pair to replace themThey were friendly and polite, and their small talk was not at all obnoxious the way a lot of overly enthusiastic sales people areBasically, they seemed to really genuinely care about the services they were providing meThey found a perfect pair made by C [redacted] and immediately went to work fitting my old lenses into the new frameIt only took minutes even though they told me to expect about minutesAll this AND they took my insuranceI know exactly where I'll be going for my next eye examI was planning on giving them five stars on here the minute I walked out of the store, but when I saw all these negative reviews, I was pretty shockedIt doesn't even seem like the same place or peopleThey must be under new management or something I had a great time, and would strongly encourage people to give them a shot if they want good service, good products and a generally positive experience

[redacted]Dear [redacted]I have received the complaint regarding the above matter. Upon discussion with the Manager and District Manager of the [redacted] location these are the details of that visit and transaction.Patient was seen in the [redacted] office on February 19, 2015. At that...

time the patient ordered 1 pair of glasses with Hi-Index lenses. When the patient returned 2 weeks later to pickup the glasses the patient was having difficulty seeing out of the lenses. On March 6, 2015 Dr. H[redacted] took the patient back to do a re-check to see why the patient was having difficulty in seeing. It was determined the patient was a non-adapt to the lens material. The next day, March 7, 2015 we placed a redo order for polycarbonate lenses, On March 9, 2015 the Manager of the [redacted] location spoke with the patient and apologized for the inconvenience and told her Eyeland would refund the difference between the Hi-index lenses and the polycarbonate lenses. The patient was pleased (at least they said they were) and we told the patient as soon as the new lenses came in we would call. March 11, 2015 the patient called back and was told the lenses were still not in and we explained we placed a rush on her order but they would still take a few days to be received from the lab. The manager also said she would call the lab to see at what point the lenses were in processing and give the patient a status update. Later in that day the manager called the patient back and told the patient the lenses were due in by Friday, March 13, 2015. The manager also told the patient to make up for all the problems and delays the patient was offered to pick out an additional pair of glasses at no charge. The patient was extremely happy and very grateful, March 13, 2015 the patient came in to and was refunded to her credit card $118.00 which was the difference in the lens materials, dispensed her new glasses and picked out their pair of complimentary glasses (sunglasses). March 14, 2015 the office followed up with the patient and was told that they lowed their new glasses and could see great out of them. Their sunglasses are due in any day now and is expecting a call as they are received in, From the managers point of view their take on it was the patient was very pleased with everything we did to accommodate them and make up for the inconvenience.Eyeland has made a concerted effort to refund, give a complimentary pair of glasses and rectify this situation in a timely manner.If you should have any further questions or need additional information you may reach me at [redacted],Sincerely,Carol S[redacted]HR Director/Administrator Eyeland Optical
