I responded and tried to get another model. NO ANSWER!
I tried to call and got a very rude Customer Service Rep. I was told that my order was placed over a year ago and they could not refund the $25 layaway order or the Shipping costs of $31.95. She said it was there policy and I looked on their website and there is nothing stated about they couldn't refund my shipping order or transferring the layaway order to a different model.
There are many models where the item is discontinued but they have the option where you can place on layaway for $25 and await possible production. Why are they allowed to pay $25 when the item is discontinued and they will just take your money because it has been over 6 months months? Again does not state this on the website.
She said she couldn't help me. I asked to speak to a manager and she said she was the only one there. I said you can't just take people's money and not let them purchase something in lieu if the product you want is unavailable. I was then hung up on. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS WEBSITE!!! THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T CARE.

Review: I sent sunglasses to Eyeweartown.com to be repaired. This company cashed my check for $79.98 and did not fix the glasses. I called the company twice to complain, and I also sent two e-mails asking for a refund. Tina, the customer service representative, was not only rude but abusive. First she tried to deny that I had placed an order, but I have the e-mails confirming receipt of the glasses and I also have an order number #[redacted]generated by her company. Then she said she never received my check. After I said I had proof from my bank that her company had cashed my check, she told me to work the problem out with my bank! This is precisely what she said: 1) There is no proof I placed the order. (I have the confirmation e-mails.) 2) The company never received the check, and we did not cash your check. (I have a copy from [redacted] of check #[redacted] made out to Eyewear Town. The copy of the check from [redacted] shows that this check was endorsed and cashed by eyeweartown.com.) 3) When I told her that I have proof from my bank that her company cashed the check, she said that I should take it up with my bank. 4) Finally, she said that I could "kiss my money good-bye."This company should not be in business!Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for $79.98. I would also like the Revdex.com to look into the fraudulent practices of this company. After I had such a very unpleasant encounter with Tina of eyeweartown.com, I went online to see if anyone else had reviewed this company. I saw there were forty-two pages of complaints! I read the first five pages, and I saw only one review that was positive. This company should be brought to the attention of state/ federal prosecutors; the public needs to be protected.

Review: This morning around 9:03AM I made a phone call to this business asking them about a product they have advertised on their website about a pair of sungl made by Dita eyewear. A gentleman picked up the phone and I informed me of my desire to purchase the pair of glasses but I had a couple of questions prior to placing my order. I wanted to know if he had the glasses in stock and he informed me that he did not. I asked him then if I place the order will I get charge for it? and he informed me that I will not until the glasses are on the way to my address. I went ahead and place my order and instantly I got an email stating that the item was not available and that they did not have an estimated time of arrival for it. Unlike what he told me they went ahead and charged my card right away for a product they do not have. I gave them a call and was told if I want to cancel the order I will be charged a 20% cancellation fee for a product they were told they do not have. I sent a total of 6 emails to themtrying to get them to refund my $398.49 they charged to my Mastercard with no avail. This particular business owner has been accused by more than 50 individuals of deceiptive sales tactics. He makes you believe he has merchandise that you want and turns around and charges you for it then try to find it on line. I refus to pay for something he does not have without even an estimated time of arrival.Desired Settlement: I want to have my money back right away since I respectfully asked them no to charge my card when I received the email stating that they did not have the glasses.

Review: I order a pair of frames on February **, 2013, I received an email stating that frame was out of stock, I ordered another frame and that one was out of stock too. I requested another pair again out of stock after the 3rd try I sent an email requesting a refund, I did not receive a reply so I called the store directly and spoke to [redacted] who informed me that my card was never charged. I believed her. Well two months later I tried to use the card and it was declined. I called back to eyeweartown and spoke to [redacted] who told me he would look into it and get back to me. Well I never received that call. Today, June [redacted] I called eyeweartown and spoke to [redacted] who I spoke to on April *, 2013. I explained that I was looking to receive a refund from the frames which I did not receive and that she was the person who advised me that my card was never charged. She asked for a invoice number I advised I never received one from the order I placed online. She then ask for zip code and located my file. She started yelling that I should have responded to their emails advising they were out of stock. I explained that I did respond she said you did not and they are going to have to have accounts payable look into it. I asked her how long will that take. Once again she is yelling as long as it took me to respond to the email they are not going to rush for me. I asked her to stop yelling at me and please explain when can I expect to receive a refund. She hangs up the telephone. I called her back and advised that I thought that was very unprofessional to hang up on me. I am not yelling or being disrespectful I am only asking when can I receive a refund. She told me to stop calling them I ask her to here me out and that I can send her every email. She said okay and hangs up again. This is very poor customer service. They have my money for frames I ordered and never received. I am requesting a refundDesired Settlement: To have the merchant refund my credit card or send me a check.

Review: Placed order July *, 2013. Required payment in advance. Wrote check for $159.99 on July *, 2013. Check cleared and was deposited to Eyeweartown on July *, 2013. The product was not in stock as advertised, had been discontinued and could not be obtained. I refused substitution. Demanded refund at least 10 times via phone and email. They currently hang up on me when I call, refusing to process the refund. It has been over 6 months since they cashed and took my money. They simply stole my money and I believe they are guilty of interstate fraud. The company should be forced to refund me in full and everyone else they have defrauded.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $159.99 for merchandise advertised and not delivered, paid for in advance.

Sincerely,

Review: I had purchased a pair of eye glasses on layway. I put down $25 and had paid the shipping of $31.95. The product online stated it was discontinued, however I could purchase it on layaway and once it becomes in production I would be asked for full payment. I had been in contact with them and they product and color I wanted was still not in production. They did offer another color and I declined. It has now been almost a year now. I asked for a refund and they said they could refund my shipping of $31.95 but not the $25 that I had put on layaway because the $25 was already paid to the vendors. How can they pay $25 to the vendor when this product is not even in production? I then wanted to switch my order to another pair of glassses, same brand. They told me it was no longer available. I check back a few weeks later and that pair is now available. I send several emails saying I want to this product with no answer. I call them several times and have been hung up on and spoken very rudely to. No explanation of why I can not purchase a pair glasses in lieu of the ones I put on laway. I have copies of the email correspondence.Desired Settlement: I would like to purchase a pair of glasses or get my money back.

Review: I purchases a pair of Chanel sunglasses and a few months later when I contacted the customer service department, the woman hung up on me. When I called back she would not discuss the situation, but told me that I could purchase another pair of glasses. I paid close to $400.00 for these sunglasses and feel they should last more than a few months. Since these were purchased with my Platinum American Express card, I am requesting their assistance in this situation.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund or the option to choose another pair of Chanel sunglasses to replace the defective pair of glasses. I would like all shipping charges to be complimantary.

Response:

On 12/**/2012 the customer ordered and paid for sunglasses. We shipped the item to the customer's confirmed billing address via USPS tracking number [redacted].

After almost one year and I am getting a inquiry that the item is defective. Even in the letter he specifies that after a few months of wearing them he states they were defective. We sent the customer a brand new pair and as our policy dearly

indicates that any ret urns or exchanges is 14 days not 1 year. We do not take back worn items This matter is dosed and no further credit is due here.

Sincerely,

Review: My 82 year old mother sent her Versace glasses in for repair in a couple of months ago, and I called two weeks prior to today. I spoke with this same person on the phone.... She was really curt and rude on the phone and said she would have to see if they even still had them as it has been awhile... Problem is the email the keep saying they are sending is not coming through, therefore, that is why I called to get them back. She said they would have to look for them. When after two weeks now had passed... My mother called me to call them as she needs her glasses. I phoned and since it had already been two weeks, I asked NICELY to speak to a manager. And when she ignored my request I asked who was speaking and she said abruptly WHO IS THIS.. for which I complied and answered and asked her name again to simply know whom I was speaking with... She was just yelling at me... These lenses are like over $200. She blatently told me that I can call all I want she will not be sending me these glasses... I will also be complaining to the Attorney Generals office... Shame in her...Desired Settlement: I want my mother's glasses and I simply also wanted to know where these emails are with the invoice that needs to be paid... I will gladly pay this... I just want these glasses back, as soon as possible... I do not want to deal with this particular woman again.. I feel that her employer, and I am hoping this is not her own business, finds out how detrimental this woman's temper and attitude can be to their business.
