EZ Glide Garage Doors & Openers

Review: I contacted EZ Glide for an estimate on replacing my garage door system, per their website they state "free estimates", apparently thats not the case. I had contacted 3 companies & EZ Glide was the last co & cost wise pretty much the same as others so I asked for an estimate, which they gave me but didn't give me a time frame other than it w/be done before the snow flys, after thinking about it I called back Overhead Garage Door & they said they c/do it Oct 23rd, so I called EZ Glide back telling them I c/Get it done sooner, that was when they told me I w/have to pay for work done on my door, which I never authorized , besides the door was up but the back panel was hanging down, had been that way for awhile, they took it upon themselves w/out asking, if they really did anything at all to the door, then they billed me $83.75 for coming, this is false advertising as I asked for an estimate on a replacement, not to service the existing door, why would I do that when other companies (2) told me it had to be replaced.Desired Settlement: no further contact from this company

EZ Glide was contacted about replacing or repairing the customer's garage door. The customer said they only wanted a quote but they wanted us out there that day. We told her that we can get a crew there to get it operational and we would discount the service call to $10-20 if they bought the door through EZ Glide. After we fixed the door so it was operational, we sent a quote. The customer wanted an exact day on the install right after they received the quote. EZ Glide didn't have the door in stock so it was going to be closer to 2-3 weeks but since EZ Glide got the existing door working, we didn't think that would be a big problem. The customer took our measurements and had a different company put the new door in so EZ Glide charged for the work that was already done to get the existing door working.Since we received this complaint, we have voided the invoice for $83.75. We don't believe that is right but we aren't going to fight a customer when it was a simple 'he said/she said' dispute. We have notified the customer that the invoice has been voided so we can go our separate ways. Please have this complaint removed.Please let EZ Glide know if you need anything else. Have a great day!
